Medibot Gremlin

Description
A whimsical Gremlin that answers the question, what would a Vietnam/Korean War era drone have looked like, if they had been invented that early? Styling cues come from a Vietnam era Jeep.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Shen:
Central, you asked to see me?

Central:
Yes, I wanted to talk to you about a new project. As you know, we've been running short
on Gremlins lately for our Specialists.... and you know how long it takes to build a new one.

A recent rebel contact has volunteered to donate some of their inventory - they're .... Medibots.

Shen:
You've got to be kidding, those things are OLD. You just sneeze around one of them, it might collapse into a pile of rust.

Central:
Which is where you come in. I don't care what it takes, use baling wire, super glue, gum, whatever. I need you to get those old birds running. They may be old, and short on firepower, but I bet one of those will outheal even your latest models.

Shen:
Ok, I'll do my best.

Central:
Thanks, I knew I could count on you.

<Shen walks away slowly, shaking her head>

Medibot Gremlin

This gremlin is designed for your healing specced specialist, and has recently been enhanced
to support healing both organic and robotic units. ( which makes it a good compliment
for playing the new Spark units )

Stats are nearly identical to the base values of the existing gremlin.

Changes:
Healing bonus increased by 1. Damage reduced by 1.

An additional single use heal has been added called a "Medibot Heal". Applies 5 more
healing points than the standard gremlin heal, but takes all action points.

Upgrade costs can be tweaked in XComMedibotGremlin.ini and are
currently set to 40 and 55 resources respectively for tier 2 and tier 3.

Damage and Healing bonus values can also be changed in the same INI.

Textures are borked in WOTC. Their all black and doesn't change when the weapon color is changed in the CP or armory.

@krj12
Would it be possible for to you to fix that?

Krj12 I love this mod. Could you expose abilities besides MedibotHeal to the config file for those of us who want Revival Protocol or whatever on their Medibots?

For instance, the Scouting protocol mod says "Scouting Protocol is simply an ability attached to any "weapon" that has Weapon Category of 'gremlin'. It should be automatically compatible with mod-added cosmetic variants of Gremlins" but it seems you never assign the medibot gremlin to a weapon category. After the above change, I could simply add the "ScoutingProtocol" ability into this mod's config file.

you can use both

Does this replace the normal Gremlin or can you use them both?

Why does it look so poorly made tho?

Alright thanks, I'll use this for my RPG overhaul run. (Named after the mod that just came out) I did enjoy this back during Vanilla and I'm sure I'll like it here to thanks.

yes

So dumb question but this still works for WOTC correct?
Arkhangel Sep 16, 2017 @ 4:11pm
@Krj: i still used these in LW2 anyways. sure, the hacking suffers, but having the MediBot Heal stacked on with the normal MediKits made them a must for my Medic specialists anyways, given how long some missions could go. plus the medibot heal let you save stabilizing charges.
