WAR: Two-Handed Chillrend (a Weapons, Armor and Robes mod)

Description
Makes the unique, one-handed Chillrend sword a two-handed greatsword with better damage and enchantments!
This mod gives you three things: (1) It turns the blue glass Chillrend sword into a blue glass Chillrend greatsword, with the same cool visual effects, and better base damage. (2) It improves its enchantments by increasing the chance to paralyze, doubling the amount of time paralysis lasts, increasing the frost damage, and adding the frost slow effect, which is missing from the vanilla game weapon. (3) It lets you craft and temper your own blue glass greatswords, which do more damage than normal glass greatswords! These you may enchant and use yourself, or sell for 50% more gold. Plus the blue hue is cool!

❖ Other Mods You Might Like

If you want the one-handed version of Chillrend with the improved damage and enchantments, it's available with this mod: WAR: Unique, One-Handed Weapons. If this mod does well, I might make WAR (Weapons Armor and Robes) mods for all of the unique, named two-handed weapons of the game. So please consider rating it and adding it as a favorite, even if you don't want to subscribe now, and follow us on Steam to get notified when mods are released.

ABOUT CHILLREND AND HOW TO OBTAIN IT

Chillrend is uniquely unique among the named weapons of the vanilla game. It's unique in there is no other weapon that looks like it: The glass weapon has a blue hue instead of the normal green, and it gives off a frosty mist, instead of the normal white glow of weapons with frost enchantments. It's unique in that it's enchantmetns are unlike any other weapon's: Besides doing frost damage to health and stamina, it freezes targets, paralyzing them briefly (so that they cannot move and fall to the ground) instead of simply slowing them down. Those so frozen give off the same frosty mist of the weapon.

Chillrend can be obtained during the Thieves Guild quest The Pursuit[www.uesp.net]. It's the eighth of 12 primary quests for the guild, so your character won't have to complete the quest line to get it. The weapon may also be obtained using the command console. More information about the weapon of the vanilla game is here: Chillrend[www.uesp.net].

IMPROVEMENTS MADE BY THIS MOD

✓ Now Two-Handed
After subscribing to this mod, any level version of Chillrend you own, or later obtain, will become a two-handed, blue glass, greatsword, with the following enhancements.

✓ Better Chance to Paralyze
The weapon now has up to a 35% chance to paralyze, instead of the normal 25% chance.

✓ Paralyzes Twice as Long
The original Ghillrend has a chance to paralyze targets for only 2 seconds. This mod increase the duration to 4 seconds, giving you more time to fight your way out of a mob of guards, bandits, vampires or other foes.

✓ More Frost Damage and Adds the Missing Slow Effect
Unlike other frost enchantments, the enchantment of the normal Chillrend doesn't slow targets. This mod changes that! It now slows those it doesn't paralyze, and slows them 10% more than normal. It also does 5 more frost damage to health and stamina.

✓ More Base and Critical Damage
The Chillrend greatsword does more base and critical damage than a normal glass greatsword, and the same base and critical damage as an ebony greatsword.

✓ Craft Your Own!
If you'd like to create your own blue glass greatsword, this mod lets you do that, too! All you need are the same items used to craft a normal green glass sword, plus ice wraith teeth, which you can buy from an alchemist or loot from any ice wraiths you slay. Tempering the blue glass greatswords and Chillrend also requires ice wraith teeth, as well as a refined malachite.

Any way you could make both 1h and 2h of the speical weapons? I know it sounds redundant, but maybe you wanna hit harder with a 2H dawnbringer- or want to swap to the weaker, faster version so you can use a healing spell at the same time. all that w/o having to stop the game, change settings, disable anmd re-enable mods- Its just an idea- if you can incorperate something like that, or anyone knows where one exsists, please tell me <3

Chillrend in Skyrim- on one hand it kind of sounds familiar, but I can't place it off the top of my head- thanks for mentioning that, I'll look into that (perhaps a quest I missed, and I have over 2K hrs. in Skyrim). Still, occassionally I find new places and small quests at times, after all these years :) :windhelm:

The mod is named after the Chillrend sword in Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Like other named weapons that were in earlier games, it makes another appearance in this one.

It's good I'm sitting down!! You & your mod partner "don't" own Morrowind?!?! Arguably the best of the Elder Scrolls series!! Well, Steam's summer sales soon approach, when it goes on sale it hits really cheap levels, shouldn't be hard at all to acquire. Not sure how you've resisted so long! Just curious, if you were unfamiliar with the game it was in, why name your next weapon that? Mod or not- as a gamer & w-rpg player specifically, imho Morrowind should be on your/everyone who hasn't already played it list. The mod community for it is still alive too.

Reguardless of the mod- please let us know what you think of Morrowind whenever you manage to play it!:steamflake:
