Description
Quick revision July 28 2018th (A future revision is highly unlikely):

-Fixed several texture issues on the platforms and the pit area.
-Changed render quality from low to high on several meshes.
-Fixed two spawns that were too close to each other.
-Added permanent music and removed scripts for pop up messages.
-Renamed each map with a _p. Older maps without the _p will not be updated and may not work anymore.

Bug: music cannot be stopped and will mix with the default chivalry map music. To fix this, turn the music slider all the way down in your options/audio menu. Custom music cannot be turned off.

Hello there,

So, recently I had some free time to map, and I decided that it was time to get things going. There were also people motivating me to catch up with this map. I hope I did well this time, there has been a while since I touched this map.

Today, I bring you the new version, and pretty much the last of Duel of the Fates for chivalry. The update took around 11 hours to build. Started yesterday, and ended today. Quite neat mapping sessions. There are still plans regarding this map, but just small updates. PlouPlou offered to add his mod characters to this map that was also a reason of why I decided to update it. In the other hand, condolences for him because his hard drive died and he had maps and levels there. Wish him good!

RELEASE NOTES

Main note: There will be no new versions of this map. There may be additions as mods, or probably scripts, but no new remakes. This will be my last version. Not my last release, but my last version. To make it more clear. I may add mods, or another small fixes to the map, but there will not be a total remake like version one and two.

Note two: For several periods of time, there has been people that would love to make their own version of Duel of the Fates, but they would like to contact me first. Right now, I am telling you guys that you are more than free to make your own versions of the map. I don't own Star Wars nor the original idea, build and scenario from Duel of the Fates. So feel free to remake this scene or any of the maps I had made in your own vision. I don't have a problem with that. The only condition is that if for some reason you use assets of my maps. Please contact me to ask for permission, or if you for some reason cannot contact me. Please credit the original texture creators, RavenSoft, LucasArts and me for the extra assets that I had provide. For the KotOR maps, credit Obsidian Entertainment and Bioware. Thank you so much.

In this version I continued with the development of the layout that was in V2. Which sucked because that was pretty much a placeholder for the level. It worked, but it was not what I really wanted to be. But I am really glad you guys enjoyed the version a lot.
Fixes
*Music should be at its normal audio level. Apologizes for the huge inconvenience.
*The Hangar has been improved. For this one I ported one of my old maps and converted it to the UDK format. I needed to do a ton of work to get things done in that area, but it worth it.
*The Pit has been improved too. Same, ported my old GTK Radiant map to this one.
*Some content was cut. As for example, the generator area has two levels instead of three. The pit and hangar designs from V2 has been cut out in a 100% from the level. I am glad that designs are gone. Remember, that was a placeholder, WIP work.

In this version I used many of my old work. I did several maps for Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. One of those was Duel of the Fates, and in coincidence I released my last version as the third one. That release was my last version of Duel of the Fates for the Jedi Knight game, and now in 2016. I am releasing the last third release of the same map. In this case, I did the same version in here, and they are quite similar, but satisfice the design and the panorama of my vision in an amateur way.

Note: A tremendous apologize to everyone that may follow my old post of the map. I really wanted to start fresh on this one, and I decided to put my old post as [OUTDATED]. There is a link at the top of this page to see that release. Note that I will not work on that release anymore. Please do not request me changes on that one. I will not do them. Also, if I need to do a quick update or something else. In this case I don’t need to re-cook each map and probably screw you the entire experience. I find it more useful in this way, but you are free to continue to use my old maps to play. I will not delete that versions because there may be people that prefer them.

This map includes Textures from a mapper from Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy called Boddo. This guy did a remake of the Duel of the Fates map in the past for the JK Game. A great mapper too.

Raven Software too because of the game Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. Which without it, probably this map and my other Star Wars maps would never see the light for Chivalry. TODAY 5/26/2015 I re-released my entire queue of Star Wars maps with several fixes. Give a try to Tatooine and EPVI Emperor's Throne Room too. Took around 12 hours to get all maps compiled, cooked and uploaded correctly.
VERSION 3 FIX TIME: 2 hours
VERSION 3 PORT/BUILD/WORK/CLEAN TIME: 15 hours from 7pm to 9am.
VERSION 2 BUILD TIME: 3 Days and 6 Hours
VERSION 1 BUILD TIME: 4 Days, 12 hours in total.

Ah, on second thought that makes some better sense in the perspective of game modes besides just FFA. Given the somehwat random spawning, I've noticed I often get the choice of running for while, or suicide for a better spawn. I think the scale of the map is best suited for large scale FFA, and I've just been playing with too few people.

Hi Ser Bitey. That's not an issue. I made that in purpose to be able to just go from top to bottom. Those platforms are not intended to get the player to the top area of the generator room. To go up, you can use the small bridges that I put at the edges of the generator room area located at the left/right. Thank you.

I have discovered something that I kind of view as an issue. The floating circular platforms that make up the staircase to the upper walkways is too far and too high apart to jump.
