Civ5 Hotkey Mod

Description
The Civ5 Hotkey Mod collects the hotkeys for Sid Meier's Civilization V to make customizing them easier. It includes several pre-configured layouts that can be swapped around or used as templates for your own custom layout.

The mod updates existing game files - organizing those updates in one place and labeling them to make the hotkeys easier to find and customize. No new content or systems are added. Some commands that do not normally have hotkeys (ex. Great Person abilities, Promotions) can be given hotkeys in the mod.

You can edit the hotkey changes as you like. Each version contains folders with alternate hotkey layouts. The 'Hotkeys Simplified' layout is used by default, but any layout could be swapped in. The mod reads whichever layout is installed in its 'override' folder. Includes the following layouts in the mod's directory:
- Default Hotkeys: Doesn’t change any hotkeys from the base game.
- Hotkeys Simplified: The mod author's attempt at better hotkeys. Installed by default.
- Steam Controller: Allows all hotkeys to be bound on the Steam Controller.

Find the SC binding through the community configurations or at the Steam Controller Database.[www.steamcontrollerdb.com]
A diagram of the SC configuration can be found here.[docs.google.com]

To switch layouts, swap its .xml files into the 'Hotkey Overrides' folder. Overwrite files if necessary.
Update the InGame.lua file for the Toggle Hex Grid hotkey - H (Hotkeys Simplified) or G (Default or Steam Controller).
Update the DiploCorner.lua file for the Chat Focus hotkey - Home (Hotkeys Simplified) or Tab (Default or Steam Controller).S

There are two versions of the Hotkey mod:
- This is the Local Version for single-player use through the mod menu.
- The DLC Version is for single- and multi-player use as a DLC-type mod without using the mod menu.

See the mod's information page[docs.google.com] for a full description and a link to the DLC Version.

YuenHsiaoTieng - Not that I know of, sorry. It might be possible, but you would have to dig through the game's code to find out. I think I got the majority of hotkeys in this mod but I'm sure there are some I am not aware of. You might get a better answer from someone more knowledgeable about the game code/coding in general over on the CivFanatics forums.

If your goal is to play civ with a controller (I assume not but just in case) you could accomplish this with Steam's controller configuration (for any controller, not just the Steam Controller) using mouse region.

Is there anyway to make a civ6 style hotkey where enter does whatever the bottom right button is, e.g. "choose production" or "unit needs promotion" etc?

Daniel - The included controller layout is meant specifically for the Steam Controller, but you should be able to use the mod in conjunction with software that emulates mouse + kb on controllers. This mod lets you change most of the game's hotkeys, so you can modify the controller layout or create a new one for your 360 controller.

I imagine it wouldn't have the same customization as the Steam controller, but I have no experience with emulation software for standard controllers. If you find a configuration/software combo that works for you please let us know, I'm sure others would be interested as well!

can you use this for an xbox 360 controller, or is it only for the Steam Controller?
