[TOP 10] Heroes in Dota 2 with the Highest DPS
By TruMediaMix1
One thing I believe many can safely agree on, it's that heroes are all so fragile. Even though "durable" heroes can take more punishment than others, the following ten heroes will always make you question the resilience of even the strongest heroes.

To keep the list fresh, I only looked at heroes based on what they can do without the help of Passive abilities or Items. This means that heroes that rely on such to deal powerful burst damage likely won't be seen on this list.

HERO #10 - Juggernaut
If Final Fantasy has taught us anything, it's that the Omnislash wins every time. The same can be said for Juggernaut with little to no debate! Thanks to Blade Fury, he can make short work of entire crowds of enemies (mostly creeps) and thanks to Omnislash, he can down any poor sucker caught wandering by himself/herself without any counterattack whatsoever (Black King Bar and Scepter of Divinity aside). However, he's not too high up on this list as Omnislash does rely on items in order to boost its damage. That's right! Omnislash's damage is modified by items! Without items that can boost Omnislash's efficiency, Juggernaut can have a ton of difficulties trying to get a kill.
HEROINE #9 - Crystal Maiden
Crystal Maiden is a fan favorite for Support players and is quite synonymous with the Support role in MOBAs as a whole. However, the moment can really hit the fan for the enemy team thanks to her high-damage dealing stun and her excessively powerful AoE ultimate ability, Freezing Field. Unfortunately, the damage she inflicts is easily outshined by the other heroes and heroines on this list due to superior damage and the latter. Also, she's a Support heroine. She's at her best keeping her team in shape rather than stomping pubs.
HEROINE #8 - Lina
This girl's so hot, she'll burn you up! No, really! Lina's abilities can easily raze through almost any foe, and any poor suckers that are close enough to said foe. Even without her passive, Lina's abilities can easily make short work of any hero that's ill equipped to battle her. Unfortunately, the reason why she's so low on this list is that her abilities have noticeably longer cooldowns compared to other Nukers and relies on her passive to help her finish what her abilities start.
HERO #7 - Alchemist
Full metal alche-blitz? Yes indeed! With an incredibly short cooldown of an Ultimate ability, a powerful AoE, and one of the most powerful stuns in the game, Alchemist is more than capable of giving powerful enemies a serious thrashing. Fortunately, his passive only affects how much gold he gets with his kills. Unfortunately, he's not higher on the list due to the fact his ultimate is more reliant on items than most of anything.
HEROES #6 - Meepo
Yes, Meepo has a passive that modifies his dps, but his ultimate, despite also being a passive, doesn't count because it effects Meepo as a whole, not just his dps. He's easily the most difficult hero on this list to play as, but the fact that he and his clones can stun foes multiple times, a teleport ability that deals damage, and the fact that he can have 3 clones of himself in the battle, makes him eligible to make it to #6. Think about it for a minute, a hero with 4 stuns and permanent clones of himself. Yikes!
HERO #5 - Chaos Knight
Meepo may have a ton of stuns thanks to his clones, but Chaos Knight only needs one stun and a few bunch of clones of himself in order to absolutely overwhelm his opposition. Thanks to Phantasm (not including his crit passive), combined with his secondary ability, he can easily gank and trap any foe he wishes to and easily get away with it. Where rides the horseman, death shall surely fallow.
HERO #4 - Invoker
Invoker sure isn't the easiest hero on this list, but in the hands of the right player, Invoker is easily one of the most powerful heroes in Dota 2. He has a mess of spells that give him tons of utility and dps. Even without the aid of Aghanim's Scepter, Invoker's spells can easily make short work of fragile heroes, and he can even put up a good fight against heroes that normally counter him!
HEROINE #3 - Windranger
Windranger is truly one ginger you don't want to cross! She's so high up this list not only because her Ultimate Ability gives her an attack speed unlike any other, but she also does so without the help of any passive abilities! She may have some trouble when dealing with armor in some scenarios, but her Teritary ability combined with her primary stun and her Ultimate ability, allows her to easily down most foes with ease without ever having to worry about a lethal counterattack!
HERO #2 - Zeus
Heaven help you! Even without his passive, a Veil of Discord, or other items Zeus can deal an excessive amount of powerful burst damage. Armed with a highly spammable primary ability, a secondary ability that's more powerful than his ultimate (mainly when it's maxed out and his ult is at level 1), and an Ultimate ability that has a global range, Zeus can easily kick anyone's ass if they're careless or unprepared.
Honorable Mentions
Phantom Assassin
Phantom Assassin's Coup de Grace is deadly even towards the likes of Pudge, but she didn't make it on this list as I am not factoring in anything that modifies the damage heroes inflict, including items and passives. Simply put, without crits, PA is pretty much a creep that can blink.

Legion Commander
Like Phantom Assassin, Legion Commander can inflict tons of damage, but only through snowballing thanks to her Ultimate Ability, Duel. She heavily relies on winning duels in order to overwhelm her foes, and that alone eliminates her from this list, but we'd understand as to why others thought she would be on the list.

Ursa
Shocked to see Ursa as an honorable mention? I wouldn't be surprised. If we were accounting heroes for their dps combined with passives or items, this list would've been very stale and long. Ursa may be able to deal powerful burst damage thanks to his secondary ability, but the core of his dps comes from his passive. Hell, his passive is the main reason he can down Roshan by himself! Without his passive, Ursa's dps is significantly reduced, hence the reason he is not in the top ten.

Arc Warden
Zet the Arc Warden can quite literally deal up to three times as much damage than any other hero in Dota 2 thanks to his ultimate ability, Tempest Double. However, being a Carrier, his dps heavily relies on expensive, powerful items in order to fully exploit his potential. Without such, he can't put up as much of a good fight as he's supposed to.

Troll Warlord
Troll Warlord is a pretty powerful hero, yes. However, he heavily relies on items to boost his basic attacks, which is the source of most of his dps, as well as his passive and ultimate to do the same. Because he'd be lost without his passive and items, he's at least worth acknowledging.

Huskar
Huskar can really pound anyone that doesn't have the necessary means to counter him. Unfortunately, he heavily relies on his ultimate and his passive in order to finish fights before his foes can counterattack. I mean, when's the last time you died to Huskar that WASN'T from his Fire Spears?
HERO #1 - The Techies
Was there any doubt? Even the most resilient heroes in Dota 2 can easily fall victim to the Techies' absurd DPS. Their Remote Mines can easily one-shot any hero if there's enough of them nearby, and there are plenty of clips of entire teams getting instantly destroyed by the Techies due to a well-placed trap and a well-timed detonation. Not even Phantom Assassin's crits or Ursa's fury swipes can compete with the overwhelming ordinance of the Techies.

I admit, there are some notable flaws to my list. But hey, it's my first major guide, what do you expect? :)

Also, Meepo's ult doesn't count because "it affects him as a whole, and not just his DPS"? That's so strangely specific and weird. If that works, then OD should be on the list since you could easily say the same about his passive, and if you allow his passive then his DPS is crazy. Not to mention Alchemist's damage is ok but honestly not better than Doom's, OD's, Jugg's, etc, DPS passives and items all factored in.

WR's damage output is TRASH without items, jugg does much more without items than her.

And OD isnt even in HM.
