The best Sniper ever . Has confirmed 705 kills (whose 200 with Suomi KP31 ) in less than 108 days .

Simo Hayha was a finnish sniper who fought against USSR during Winter War (1939 - 1940) . At first he was using the very old M91/30 , but later, he was using the iconic finnish M28 "Pystykorva" , which is on my workshop . He was using unusual technics to survive during one of the coldest winters that Finland ever known :

-keeping snow into his mouth to reduce vapor of breath

-compacting snow infront of his rifle to make it unable to fly up after the shot

-using only ironsights , because using a scope forces the sniper to get his head up , may do visibility problems, and can do reflects with the sunlight .


The Finland was way too weak for USSR , but they both won and lost this war ,but Finland was known to use diversion & provocation technics ; indeed, they only had 30 tanks and 114 airplanes, but they knew their country : They used skis to move faster .
