Description
This is episode one of a NATO mini campaign that runs seperately from the main campaign. More episodes will follow in the future by request.





Approximate length: 20-40 minutes

In "Assault at Dawn" you are a squad leader in the Quick Response Task Force (QRTF). Your squad and some mechanized infantry have been deployed to react to the landing and creation of a small beach head unit of CSAT.
CSAT has managed to establish a small outpost with a weak garrison so High Command has decided to move in quick and assault the outpost before, as Intelligence suggests, a large scale invasion will hit Altis within the next 24 hours.

It is key to eradicate the beach head as quickly as possible to make an invasion impossible for CSAT.

good mission but the mission end before to go exfil point when i take the documents on assalt point...(?) :steamsad:

A nice quick mission! Having the MRAP at the beginning made the mission a little too easy, but I suppose I was at risk of being hit by AT weapons. Luckily thermal imaging makes it hard for enemy AT crews to actually get any shots off.

Thanks for the feedback! As this is the first ever mission I made balancing is a bit of an issue. I hope that with the upcoming scenarios you will be challenged a lot more.

Mission atmosphere is great. The outpost looks cool and messy (in a good way). The mission is way to simple though. Especially when the enemy AI misses their rockets on the APCs, you will just streamroll through the outpost with ease.

I wanted this level to be as challenging as possible with success still being achievable. During the testing I had of course encountered resistance coming from the road, but seven out of ten times I did manage to succeed.

Great once i beat it, but it seems like your only agngle of attack is the beach, i tried different angles and tactics but nothing seemed to work except your suggestion

Thanks for the feedback, I will definitely look into that script, though I am still new to all of this.
You do not have to walk, by the way. There should be a Hunter right next to where you spawn.

Not a bad mission, there were some things which could get improved in my opinion:
1. Use bis_fnc_endMission to properly end the mission, that way you can also add a proper debriefing
2. The walking to the outpost is a little bit too long, especially with the vehicles taking down most of the enemies before one can reach it.
