Working Scientists

Description
Confused that toolbelt-wearing-welder-jockies are healing your soldiers?

Confuzzled by the spanner-weilding-grease-warriors milling (HA, PUNS) around your psi labs?

Befuddlement begone!

Now you can be rid of those pesky wrench-monkies.

This mod rewires the staff slots for facilities from engineer to scientist. (Slots configurable using the supplied INI, default Psi Labs and AWC)

YES, I know there are other mods around that do this. All of the ones I could find use class overrides. This mod doesn't and is therefore compatible with most other mods.

Don't want to lose the research bonus from your scientists even when they are working in facilities? Turn off the option in the ini file.

UPDATE: Now works with saved games

Change Log:

1.20 - Code clean up. Improved robustness of logic for working with save games with varying modded states
1.11 - Now works with saved games
1.10 - Scientists now have their research bonus negated and restored when added to and removed from a slot
1.00 - Initial release

"Don't want to lose the research bonus from your scientists even when they are working in facilities? Turn off the option in the ini file."

Where might we find this if it's integrated into LWotC (as that's being developed out of LW2)? Thanks

I think there is too much of a focus on LW2...

By retired, I simply mean seldom maintained. I will not be removing any of my mods from Workshop. I'm still proud of them and they are - IMHO good quality of life mods that people can continue to use.
