Hacker Class Mod

Description
Adds the Hacker class to the game.

Equipped with the rifle and a pistol. The Hackers served as our primary hacking unit before XCom invented the Gremlin, now they need to focus on different things like moving independently and providing covering fire to the fellow soldiers.

With the Spy tree, use concealment and damage bonuses to kill targets before they realise you are there. With the Recon tree, the Hackers will excel in sustaining squad members in fighting condition with sustained fire from cover.

HACKER CUSTOM ABILITIES
[Conditioning]
"True rigorous combat training permanently gain +5 Aim and +2 Hit Points."

[Pistolier]
"Deal +2 extra damage on all pistol attacks."

Also adds a project to Guerrilla Tactics School named Computer Eye for the Hacker Class that gives a +5 to defense and hacking to the hacker.

This mod was first New Operative Custom Class Mod but I remade it to a new mod as it was too similar with other mods. Feel free to provide info from bugs or feedback.

The armour issue was after DLC - all class mods had to change one table to be able to equip armour. Advisable not to use this mod until it's updated.

Is the class supposed to not be able to use armor? None of my hackers can equip any armor.

could you do me favor and just update the operative class? i got 2 people on my roster that i can't use now coz thei're no class now, and are highly leveled up. btw what was wrong with operative? i really like the name, albeit it is similar to rogue but who cares?

Just a heads up, all custom classes are broken because of patch. Anyone using this should probably unsubscribe until if/when it gets fixed.

I tried this mod because it was required for the halo character pack. I love this class, it finally makes overwatch a viable alternative to just taking a shot on your turn. This is definitely a problem on higher difficulties; overwatch is not terribly useful because you can't take a shot as well. I agree with previous commenters though; call it something else than hacker, especially since its real specialty is pistols, not hacking.

I wouldn't call it Hacker anymore as the class name...great idea though. Would be great if I could use a Rifle and Pistol and still be able to hack without needing a Gremlin.

Actualy Dov, that is the very reason I got this mod, I wanted some one who could hack objectives but did NOT have a gremlin precluding the ability to hack at a range, which I realy dont find that fun.

If it cold just hack the other things, like robots and towers, I would be very happy.

This is upsetting typically its not the biggest deal with new class mods but when you have a class like hacker and the very first abilty that they have they cannot use discourages people who would like to get this mod. Great idea but until you can have both a pistol secondary and a gremline its not going to work

i really hope you didnt put much effort into creating pistolier. that same bonus can simply be aquired by using blademaster perk in the build...
well if you just renamed the skill nvm ^^

For balance reasons, it's often best to have innate/inherent abilities across from other innate/inherent abilities. This way people are forced to make tough, dedicated choices. Much in the same way the first Grenadier upgrade either makes your guy the tank or the tank killer.

Just something to think about when you are fine tuning your class
