Mythos - Historical Fantasy

INTRODUCTION
---------------------

Mythos is a historical fantasy mod incorporating numerous features of European, North African, and Middle Eastern myths and legends in accordance with the time period of CK2. Wherever possible I've tried to remain closer to these original myths than to modern reinterpretations to preserve the immersion of historical grand strategy games while adding fun fantasy elements.

FEATURES
---------------

Vampires and Werewolves:
- Immortal and immune to disease
- Can offer to turn other characters; vampires can also feed on them if imprisoned
- Largely infertile
- Each have unique sub-traits for children
- Unique possible empire-tier titles
- Werewolves can challenge top lieges to battles over the title

Wizards:
- Unique educational trait tree
- Can perform powerful spells, but at the cost of health and possible bad effects

Giants:
- Unique ethnicity and culture
- Trait follows ethnicity and can thus be bred out of existence
- Characters with one giant parent will get half-giant trait, which can be inherited further
- Stronger but smaller armies

Mummies:
- May rise up when Egypt is ruled by non-Egyptians
- Will bring back the old Egyptian culture and religion if they do spawn

Zombies:
- May spawn a horde as a result of a west African curse
- Very aggressive and will attack constantly
- Large numbers of troops, but 100% light infantry

Dragons:
- Unique ethnicity, culture, and portraits
- Only children of two dragon parents will also be dragons
- Non-dragon descendants of dragons can get the dragonborn trait, which can be inherited further
- Smaller levies but with very powerful dragon cavalry

1.02: Fixed incapable immortals, a repeating dragonborn event, and blood of the gods trait not being passed on properly.

1.01: Fixes many small bugs and makes several balance tweaks as well as improving god-related mechanics.

GENERAL UPDATE/DISCLAIMER: As I'm sure you all know by now, I'm not the most active modder these days for various reasons. I can commit to maintaining basic functionality as Paradox updates CK2, but realistically Mythos is probably "complete" as it's going to be on my end, despite some new potential coming from DLC. That being said, multiple people have approached me recently expressing an interest in taking it further, and to that end I want to make it clear that anyone who would like to use my work in their own mods is more than welcome to do so; all I ask is that you credit me and link to this page if you do. Like most modders, I made this thing because I love grand strategy and wanted to take it in a new and interesting direction. so the important part is that anyone who shares that feeling can do as much as they want to the same ends.

So if you're one of those folks, go for it and mess with the content here as much as you want. If you're more a player than a modder and want to play the original Mythos, here it is and I hope you enjoy.
