EDFX - A simple mod for better graphics and custom settings

This guide covers the installation and usage of the EDFX mod tool by Skypat.

What is EDFX?

Do you want to enhance your Elite:Dangerous graphics without gaining a performance hit?

Do you want to be able to tweak the graphics beyond the ingame settings and adjust them right to your preferences?

Do you want to manage 3rd Party apps and HUD colors and being able to adjust graphic settings on the fly?

It adds FX graphics effects to the game using Reshade Unified Engine Shaders & DirectX Injector
There are several options to add FX effect to Elite:Dangerous, but Skypats EDFX now allows us to use ReshadeFX, gemFX, sweetFX and McFX through one program.

Installation

1. Download EDFX[edcodex.info]
   
2. Download Reshade Framework[reshade.me]
   
3. Unzip and extract EDFX zip file.
   
4. Place extracted EDFX folder where you want (I use my Elite folder)
   
5. Place .7z Reshade framework zipped file in C:\Users\[username]\Documents\EDFX\update (EDFX will extract it for you)
   
6. Start EDFX
   
7. Make sure EDFX is pointing to your EliteDangerous64.exe
   Path usually is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Frontier\EDLaunch\Products\elite-dangerous-64
   
8. Press "InstallFx".

This doesn't work anymore, the link for the alternate 1.1.0 reshade download also links to the 2.0.3 reshade on the homepage, and EDFX won't use it. Anyone know where to get reshade 1.1.0? ?

Is there a way to still use the Steam interface whilst launching via EDFX? I'd like to upload my screenshots directly to Steam.
