How to have dead bodies on your lot (No mods)

Learn how to have dead bodies on your lot in The Sims 3 without mods.

Introduction

If you've played The Sims 3, you probably know that when Sims die they usually turn into ghosts.

There is a way to make it to where when they die, they will drop dead on the ground but remain there.

What's even better about this way is that it doesn't require mods or expansion packs, you can do this with just the base game

How to do it

Before you do this you'll probably want to save your game. Also, the best way to do this is when a Sim dies of starvation, so that's how we'll kill the Sim we want.

Step 1: If you haven't already, press Shift+Ctrl+C and type in "testingcheatsenabled true" (without quotes)

Step 2: Grab the Sim you want dead and have them starve to death.

Step 3: When the Sim die, pause the game and look for the Grim Reaper. If he's not there, wait for him.

Step 4: When you do see the Grim Reaper, quickly pause the game (Preferrably before he makes it over to the dead body)

Step 5: Shift+Click on the Grim Reaper, go to Object... and then Delete It

Step 6: Because the Grim Reaper is gone, he cannot mess with the body. At this point it should now remain there for as long as the game is opened.

You can use the moveobjects cheat to move the body (or bodies) over to your lawn or wherever you want.

You won't be able to throw parties after doing this (Because they'll get all get stuck on the same spot in your lot when travelling to your lot.)

Conclusion / Getting rid of the bodies

So now you've had the bodies for quite a while, probably had a living Sim paint a few paintings of them, took screenshots, and decorated your garden with them.

The good (though some may view this as bad) thing about this glitch is that it's not permanent, even if you save your game with the bodies, when you reload the save the Grim Reaper will be reset and turn them into ghosts.

Alternatively, you could just delete the bodies similar to how you deleted the Grim Reaper earlier but I honestly prefer the former.
