It's a cold, hard world where children die young and young girls are expectant brides. though a cruel world demands a strong leader.

This mod aims to allow you the ruler some more freedoms, while making it a little harder to bring your children into adulthood. we want to capture the turmoil of being a parent and a leader in this time while not ruining your game.


Changes include

Demesne Base size doubled
Max Duchies limit doubled as well
Elector titles have been raised from 1 to 3

You can choose to retire vassals to monastery as well as send out Assassins

The Council is discontent for a shorter time, Favors last shorter as well, you can revisit laws sooner as well

Vassals will wait 9 months to get mad about providing troops to you vs. the original 2.

Women are considered adults at 14 now and you can now try having kids right after giving birth
Bethrothal age is also reduced down from 12 years old to 9 years old.

Court side penalty for children is up at 40, and fertility was boosted for wives and married lovers.

Chances for death have risen
Still birth chance is 15%
Natural Death rates are up as well for some ages, and percents are per 10,000 people
Age 0-9 is at 10%
Age 10-19 at 3%
Age 20-29 at 1%
Age 30-39 at 0.75%

The Tax Penalty is a bit more harsh for having more land than you can control going fro 20% to 30%

Your Vassal minimum opinion for giving troops was upped to 10% and the max was lowered to 90%

Max tech year was dropped to 1250 giving you 250 years to play around with top tech and the ahead of time penalty was dropped to 40%

The AI should consider your release after only one year, The AI should desire a consort





Will not work with any mod that changes or effects these values in the defines.lua file. ----

Side note, the AI gets the same treatment.
