Unrestricted DLC Music

Description
Allows all DLC music packs to play ingame regardless of culture group or religion group restrictions. Culture-specific tracks are still twice as likely to play if you are playing a character of the appropriate group. Culture-specific tracks that do not match your curent character have a chance to play, but at a reduced frequency.

It does not appear that music .ogg files from the dlc folders need to be moved around anymore, so this mod should function as is, without you needing to do anything other than subscribe.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this mod ironman compatible?
A: Yes.

Q: Do I need all the DLC music for this to work?
A: No, the mod will work fine with any of the music DLC not installed or disabled, though of course you will need to purchse and install whatever DLC music packs you want to hear played. The only known issue is that the game might report incorrect song names in console (for example, if using the console command "nextsong", the game will say that one of the DLC tracks is playing, but will instead play a track from the default music list).

Q: Do all tracks have an equal play frequency regardless of player culture?
A: No. Culture specific tracks will play twice as often when the correct cultural conditions are met. Other-culture tracks will play at a reduced frequency relative to the default tracks, rather than never. More "exotic" tracks such as Songs of India and Songs of the Steppes have their play frequency reduced even further when correct cultural conditions are not met. The idea of this mod is to allow all music to be heard and enjoyed, but still leave a dynamic soundtrack to match the game being played.

Q: Is this mod up to date with all released music DLC?
A: This mod works with all released CK2 music packs up to and including Full Plate Metal (August 25, 2016).

Q: Patch 2.5.2 adds a setting that allows context sensitive music to play anytime. What does this mod do differently?
A: This mod keeps (and changes) the weighting factor for various songs to play. For example, while any music can play for anyone, tracks from Songs of India will play more often if your ruler is in an Indian culture group than they would if your ruler is, lets say, Welsh. Other factors such as being at war, or having the trait zealous will affect the play frequency of certain tracks as well. The in-game option introduced in patch 2.5.2, on the other hand, appears to remove all restrictions entirely so that any song can play anytime with an equal and random frequency.

I can confirm this mod is not needed currently as this option exists in the settings natively.

You can just go into the options and untick context sensitive music to play all tunes...

That's right, you'll need the music DLC's installed for this mod to do anything.
