Setting Up SweetFX: Windows 10 - UPDATED

This is a quick and simple way to setup Boulotaur2024.1.5.1 into Batman Arkham Knight game and make it work without any crashes of any kind. Tested this and it has yet to crash randomly. Though using this version of SweetFX is going far back but definitely worth it if you know how to create your presets with this version. In some ways simpler.

Steps To Install DXGI.DLL BMF File AND Reshade

1. Download and Copy dxgi.dll from BMF to game folder where executable is located.

2. Boot up game once and then exit out.

   
   

3. Go to game folder and open dxgi.ini file open and put this right below [DXGI.System] section.

   
   

   [Import.ReShade]
   Architecture=x64
   Filename=Reshade Presets/dxgi.dll
   Role=dxgi
   When=Early

4. Create Folder named (or your own preferenced name): Reshade Presets

   
   

5. Download: Boulaur2024 1.5.1[sfx.thelazy.net]

   
   

6. Extract Boulotaur2024.1.5.1 into a folder of your choosing and copy and paste: SweetFX Folder, SweetFX_preset, SweetFX_settings into ReShade Presets Folder.

7. From Boulotaur2024 1.5.1 Folder go into X64_dll's folder and copy and paste into ReShade Presets Folder.

8. Install or create your own preset for Batman Arkham Knight. Majority of Presets from Reshade and SweetFX 2.0 are not really compatible.
   
   But OmniFX v1.0[sfx.thelazy.net] not 1.1 is very compatible. Just copy values from one ini file to other one by one.

   
   

9. If game is crashing do this additional step and disable Steam's Overlay for Batman Akrham Knight.

NOTE TO EVERYONE WHEN BOOTING UP GAME. YOU WILL NOT SEE OVERALY SUCCEEDED IN CORNER THAT USUALLY POPS-UP WHEN LOADING SWEETFX. TO TEST IF IT WORKS TRY ENABLE MONOCHROME EFFECT TO SEE IF YOUR GAME CHANGES.

Now you are done and it works :) Hope this helps everyone out there trying to get ReShade / SweetFX to work with BAK in Windows 10 :)

It worked? I noticed the latest ReShade effects work with latest SpecialK version but glad this helped you out. Weird this game I ended up rebuying it. SO I might be able to update the Walkthru for this game or who knows :D . Its gotten some better fixes over the past few years its been out.

I long ago have given up on this game. It did work when I played it but that was when the big fiasco happened the 2nd time I decided to refund this game. Did you DL the exact version I mentioned? And did you use Kaldain's DLL file to create separate ReShade folder? This is how it works and you can't really toggle it sadly.

YOu can customize the SweetFX with only FXAA and SMAA combo but in true honesty it still won't look good in AA. It's just atrocious overall. unless you can downsample the game which is really unstable by itself.

I just recently install batman arkham knight and it seems that the aa is realy bad in this game?
I never used sweetfx or reshade but I want to fix this aa.
How can I do that an with what preset.
I like the visual of the game the way that it is I just want to fix the aa

@elemtj06 glad you got it working. I have to use 0.14 as well for GTA V which is the version that doesn't add Steam Achievements logging. 0.16 might works as well as far as I know. :) But you got to look at all releases of the dxgi.dll file on github to find it.

Got it working thanks for the responses, I updated my graphics card driver then just tried all the steps again this time using the .14 version of the dxgi file. I think .15 may screw something up, not sure.

Yes downloaded boulatours, I followed the guide exactly. Disabled osd and still crashes
