Start bias don't work with resources, it's just terrain such as "desert, forest, coast etc."
For the record, the Trypillian start bias is on grassland.
most of the ruins found of the trypillian culture wasnt near the Black Sea in the end (delta) of the dniepr's basin, but in ukraine's and moldava's plateau; these are high from the sea and not dish (hills), but the presence of wheat and good soil is still true. Pottery and agriculture of the trypillian culture need good soil (clay) and culture (wheat) to work.
I play with the Civ advanced mod, which add clay as ressource. Good one. It should be a start bias of the trypillian civ; it would make sens with their Olar and the most common cultural trait of this civilization (pottery and art from it).
Clay and wheat then, it should be the starting bias. With possible source of stone, wood, iron, deer and maybe others.
The trypillian culture was found in regions of actual Ukraine, right? Or at least in east european contries like romania, moldova, etc.
All of these ones are around the north-west coast of the Black Sea.
Then, these places are known for their agriculture traits. Ukraine is also known as the '' granary '' of east europe and was the wheat source of Soviet Union.
Even today, this country's economy still around the agriculture. But I must say that mines (iron and uranium) are important part of the economy too.
For the geography of the country, it is mostly dish plains, and the Dniepr's basin is very fertile.
So, my point is: the start bias may be more in plains where we could find more wheat ressources.
It would fit better the neolithic thematic of the civ if agriculture was better consider in the start bias.
And also hope for a E&D support for this and you other mods. I like The Olmecs in particular.
Is it version 1 or 2? Some pointed out this bug on release and I fixed it in an update.
