Sassanid and ERE Start Pos fix

Description
(This mod will no longer recieve updates, however it will still work with new versions. New factions added past White huns are unplayable. Anyone willing to make changes to the mod is allowed.)



This small mod helps to reduce Sassanid dominance and help the prevents the ERE from getting destroyed in the first few turns. This is exactly what it does,

1/30/16

Updated to v1.5 (White huns compatible)

ERE and WRE armies start at full strength (Improves ai capability to defend off the start)

ERE starting money increased to 10000


9/18/15 and 9/19/15


Ghassanids are no longer defensive allies of the ERE, but have a non aggression pact with ERE and the Sassanids (The Sassanids in some playthroughs would attack the Ghassanids and destroy the ERE very early on because the ai doesn't know how alliances work)

The Sassanids have 2-3 less units in their starting armies (Slightly lowers their confidence to randomly attack factions at the start)


9/17/15

Replaces Atropatene, Abarashahr, Aria, and Makran with the Sassanids removing them from the campaign and increasing Sassanid regions (the thumbnail)

Lakhmids, Armenia, Arran, and Mazun are no longer puppet states of the Sassanids (only Parthia remains one)

Afrighids are no longer defensive allies with the Sassanids

Lakhmids and Ghassanids are no longer at war resulting in a war between ERE and Sassanids early on

Tanukihds are not at war with ERE (they single handedly remove the majority of the ERE alone)

ERE no longer at war with Alans and Huns (I don't like Nicomedia being the capital of the ERE at turn 7)

Removed onagers from starting Visigothic armies (Saves Constantinople from the stupidity of the ai)



This mod is not historically accurate and can make playing as the eastern empire much easier, but in my opinion creates a way less fustrating game and more enjoyable especially as a non roman faction. With this mod the ERE typically still is at the top of the power rankings going later into the game, where in vanilla they will just get destroyed by a million puppet state stack and even sometimes fall before the WRE does. The Sassanids are nerfed enough with this mod that while they are still an easier faction, you can't just hit declare war and watch your hordes of puppet stacks take over any faction.


This mod is not compatible with other startpos mods. It is compatible with nearly everything else though.

This mod was made for me, but I'll listen to feedback if anyone else enjoys it.

Jasken,can you male mod like this but for WRE in order to avoid the early falling of western romans because usually the are destroying by barbarians and africans very early.

Could you make a version that's compatible with Avetis's Armenian mod?
Or is that not possible? Maybe you two would pull resources and make a joint version?
