ARICA HARBOR BATTLEFIELD MAP

Thanks to Redarmy and !_Aussie_! for fixing bugs and performance issues on the map!

Here it is! 25+ hours // 2020 and still counting!

I have to thank Aussi for helping me out fixing the editor crash. Because of this, I wasnt able to update the map until he worked his magic.

The map is now playable with game version 211.


FEATURES

- the original Battlefield map, recreated from scratch.
- placement of houses, landmarks and much more is nearly identical.

NEW

- due to the reason that the original map was a rush map, it felt like a corridor. I fixed that by opening up the hill and I added a complete new village section.
- Some of the areas were a bit bland, I added my own touch to these landmarks.

I can't believe it! Thank you so much for the constant support! This map really took some time to make, but after 5 years, it is still in the most subscribed tab. The game continues to grow, with new units and such, and a lot happned in 5 years. I finished school, started my apprenticeship, finished my apprenticeship and now study Game Design. Though my time is limited, I will try to keep things updated and I do work on a new version of Arica Harbor.
Again, thank you so much for the support and keep destroying this map in MP! See you on the battlefield! :)

So i would love to get this to work. But unfortunately there is some deeper issue as i've reset the game, I've edited the info file correctly, activate, and check, it still doesn't show. Would love to see this just get a basic update to be compatible off download. MY favorite BF map, and i'd love to play on it.

Oh man! That could actually be it, back then I wasnt very keen on naming my things properly... really cool that you figured it out, have fun creating mods! :)

@Cronoss95 I figured it out, I'm an idiot, I didn't name the FOB base_flag_b or "a" which then it failed to read those objects and the teams didn't know which Operating base was theirs...

Then it might have something to do with how you set up the mod ini file, but I never created LMS maps or modes, I only play domination - I love this mode the most :) Hope you find a solution to your problem!

I can get my Domination maps to work but not Last Man Standing.

@Chaiko-San yeha, I actually had that issue quite often with my old pc, it drove me crazy. Unfortunately back then I didnt found a solution to this, but once I upgraded my pc it worked again. So I think there might be three possible solutions: 1) try reinstalling the game after you completely wiped CTA from your harddrive, and start it with antivirus etc off. 2) start the game in safe mode (at least this was a possible option back then) and 3) you might have to update your gpu or cpu drivers. Otherwise I am out of my waters on what this error is supposed to mean :( Good luck!

Hello! Sorry was busy with university and wasnt able to read your comments! @ Dustin, you probably have to activate the maps firstly in the mod library inside the game :) If its still not available it could be that the map is outdated, but its pretty easy to update it (look below for a tut i wrote out)

Hey, have you encountered a read "ACCESS VIOLATION" when creating a map? I tried creating a simple Test Plane with the minimal that is needed for the game mode Last Man Standing, yet I don't know what's causing an instant crash right after the preparation time has completed.

the map does not appear in any game mode list, is there a fix?
