Imperium Gain From Technology Removed

Description
Another mod from me that does what the title says. :P

Well, this one does a little more. I've removed the imperium gain from technology, but to rebalance that, I've increased the imperium gain from capturing regions.

Here's how it works:
Researching a technology - 0 prestige
Capturing a region - 6 prestige
Holding your original home region - 5 prestige
Controlling a region through a vassal - 5 prestige

It takes 12 prestige points to gain the first imperium level, and 400 for the last one (that's unchanged from vanilla. This mod is compatible with mods that change the imperium thresholds). This mod won't get any more complicated than this, but I will be incorporating a version of it with some more changes in my larger overhaul, Europa Perdita (Check it out on TWC: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?190-Europa-Perdita)

This mod may be incompatible with other mods that affect technologies. It's save-compatible, but any imperium gains from technology you've already researched will stay. Oh, and it's Radious-compatible too.

I've decided not to make any changes to the Charlemagne campaign for now, since only a few technologies give you any prestige in that campaign (though they give much more than in the other campaigns). In fact, I recommend to disable this mod when playing the Charlemagne campaign, to make sure your imperium progression is balanced.

Here's a link to the TWC thread for this mod, where you can find an alternate download link and leave feedback: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?687201-Imperium-Gain-from-Technology-Removed

Oh, and feel free to use or modify this mod for your own mods.

captured_required_region_prestige_multiplier. Did you get this to work? Why do you use the term capturing a region" when that's not in your pack. This mod is not good for WRE, ERE, Sass. It starts them at level 6, which makes the former 2 doomed much earlier in the game.

It is possible to make a mod like that, sure. I don't think it's something I'll be working on though. You'd have to find every source of imperium points and set each one to zero. This would be the technologies table, campaign_variables, and building_levels at least. I'm not sure if there are any sources other than technologies, regions/hordes controlled, and buildings.

Are you able to do a mod which removes Imperium Gain completely?

Nevermind what I just said. I took a look at the building_levels table, and there are actually quite a few buildings that give prestige points. However, except for some buildings in Charlemagne, most of those values are very small (1-4 points per building, depending on level). I could adjust those, but if I do, it'll be part of my larger mod, Europa Perdita, so this one stays compatible with other building mods.

I'll check that, but I don't think any buildings give imperium for the Alans. I think the only ones that might are some level 5 buildings (maybe the Celtic ones?).

Do you know if certain buildings in the vanilla campaign give imperium? I noticed while playing the alans that building a storyteller's tent seems to be giving me imperium. Oddly when I destroy the horde with that building though, I only lose an amount equivalent to the loss from losing the horde.

Yeah but improved technology doesn't automatically make you into an imposing empire, which is what Imperium is supposed to represent.

But, it's historically inaccurate. Let's say roman apeducts which were a great technology, it exist many valuable written resources on how prestige was given to them in the eyes of the rest of the world.

I could, but that's not what I want this mod to do.

You could easily put Researching a technology - 2 prestige
