Tibbs's Real Rifle Audio (for FOTS)

Description
This was originally a personal mod of mine, but I have decided to upload it to the workshop. If you're like me, you hate the rifle audio that comes default with FOTS. This mod aims to correct it. Not only does this mod replace all rifle audio with realistic sounding gunshots, but the sounds you will hear are from actual percussion cap muskets, giving it a much more authentic feel. This mod only affects FOTS (vanilla or ROTS will not be affected unless there is an audio error). Ratings and feedback are appreciated.

The Gatling Gun does not utilize this mod. If you hear audio from this mod from the Gatling Guns, it is an audio glitch.

The matchlocks also do not use the rifle audio (although I believe some mods actually do have their matchlock equipped units use it). At any rate, if any of your vanilla matchlock units or maybe modded matchlock units use this audio, it's a glitch.


If you are encountering any audio glitches, fix it with Sinfonia Semplice.

@Der Gärtner !# if you're referring to Sinfonia Semplice I honestly couldn't tell you what's up with it if you're having issues. The update has really thrown a wrench in shit for Shogun 2 modding in general it seems.

@WraysfordLeung that might have something to do with the latest Shogun 2 update and how it's changed the way mods work. I'd say refer to the section of the description going over converting the mod into a movie file and seeing if that works for you.

@Reichspepe that's honestly outside the scope of what I know how to do. It's a form of audio glitch that sometimes happens. I'd recommend playing without the mod enabled if you're going to play Sengoku Jidai if it's a significant issue for you, although of course then you'd be getting the vanilla rifle audio.

I just put it in my data file but the sound remains the original soundtrack. Does it happen to anyone as well?

Everything works great, but for some reason Tokugawa Mounted Gunners use rifle instead of matchlock sounds, I'm starting to suspect they have somehow the wrong "flag" so to say. I'm not a modder but still tried to find a way to change it. Can you tell me where I would manually change what sound is played by a uni? I'm using DarthMod btw.

@Rhya Darthmod is the most prominent along with a mod that restores the original advisor.
