What is this "Wehraboo" and where to find one.

A wehraboo is what makes German players look bad. Here is the definition

"Wehraboo
A history or alternate history fan who is firmly entrenched in the belief that Nazi Germany's Wehrmacht was the best military in history, without a single flaw. Effectively, a Wehraboo is any obsessive Wehrmacht fanboy/fangirl who doesn't like historical facts getting in the way of his militaristic fantasies. While not necessarily, many Wehraboos can become Nazi apologists. The cliché of German Techwank can be a common fetish for many Wehraboos.

Based on the similar-sounding term "weeaboo" (a catch-all definition for Japanophiles).
He's convinced that German WW2 pilots were the greatest pilots of all time.

Now to find a Wehraboo you must travel to the far lands of reddit as it is its natrual habitat. Sometimes can be found on the War thunder fourms and rarely War Thunder itself but mostly on reddit. Now while on reddit you must find a discussion about a German Tank or plane or just the German army itself, and there is a 45% chance of finding one. He will most likely be talking about how Adolf Hitler made his army so good and if it wasn't for the winter of Russia the Nazis would of won.

How to Deal with a Wehraboo.

Typically there are no ways to stop a Wehraboo. But with science and study of one i have figured out how to outsmart/Shut one up.


WAY 1: Knowledge.
Most wehraboo's do not listen to real facts and flaws about the Nazi infantry/Luftwaffe. But if you overwhelm him by yourself or with a friend, he is most likely to give in. Keep in mind some Wehraboo's can use spam attacks to annoy you so he doesnt have to face reality that the Germans had alot of flaws in their tanks and planes.

WAY 2: Dont feed his wehraboo needs.
This is probably the most obvious one but if you dont wanna deal with the Wehraboo then ignore him. Do not feed his anger and agression to make sure in his very head that the Wehrmacht was a perfect army with no flaws what-so ever. If the Wehraboo doesnt get the attention he wants he will slowly stop talking in the chat since no one gave him the argument he was looking for.

As an Old- I used to be a hex map, 80pp rule book wargamer as an 80s kid, before the PC/growing up ruined our attention spans/time for all of that- oh man the few times I went to conventions the guys who loved to play the 3R and the Confederacy really freaked me out a little. (I do, too, but only because I am more comfortable with interior LOCs and like having the initiative to start; almost invariably the other gamers like that seemed like they'd be happier in the AB stabbing me in prison.) This community I have to say has been pretty good at policing that kind of... thing.

Frankly, I see a Wehraboo as any War Thunder player who really likes the Tiger, jokes about German Engineering, and (probably) has a Spotify playlist of German marches.

@Obergruppenführer_Hans depends on if the US joined or not, as well as how the development of the atomic bomb went. Also, the Soviets would have eventually declared on the Germans themselves once they had finished overhaling the command structure and army.

@properlad Most of those pilots started in the spanish civil war, and often times were outnumbered in most engagements, meaning they had alot of targets to shoot at. Unlike countries like America where pilots could retire, many of those german pilots had to keep flying until they were shot down or the war was over, when you have had almost 10 years and plenty of targets to shoot at, youre bound to have a few guys get a lot of kills
