Advanced Rocket Jumping for all classes (except Krieg)

This guide covers advanced rocket jumping techniques that can be used by all classes (except Krieg).
These techniques can be used for getting out of bounds and taking shortcuts e.g. skipping to the end of digistruct peak.

Introduction

This guide is mainly made for use with Axton, Zer0, Maya and Gaige.
Salvador can easily do rocket jumping without these techniques but you can do it on him if you like.
Krieg can't grenade or rocket jump at all because he is much heavier than the other classes.
This will work best on singleplayer because you can pause the game by opening your inventory.
Disclaimer: These techniques can be very difficult to pull off and will take a lot of practice!

Required Gear

Compulsory Gear:

• Low level Badaboom rocket launcher (farmed from King Mong)
  
• Grog Nozzle (from starting The beard makes the man quest in Tiny Tina's dlc)

Highly Recommended Gear:

• The Sham shield (farmed from BNK3R)
  
• A magic grenade from Tiny Tina's dlc to regenerate grenade ammo

Optional Extra:

• Low level Logan's Gun for regenerating rocket ammo with an absorb shield (farmed from Wilhelm)

How to Rocket Jump

The optimal rocket jump technique consists of 3 steps:
1. Get drunk effect from Grog Nozzle
2. Switch to Badaboom and throw grenade (with no grenade mod equipped)
3. Jump and shoot Badaboom twice with the double shot trick

In detail:

Step One
Before you start make sure you have no grenade mod equipped and your Badaboom is reloaded.
To get the drunk effect have your Grog Nozzle in hand and spam the Tab button to open and close your inventory, as soon as you see your view start to sway from the drunk effect stop pressing Tab (with your inventory open so that the game is paused) now in your inventory switch your Badaboom and Grog Nozzle around so that we don't have to waste 'drunken time' switching weapons.

Step Two
Close your inventory and throw grenade at your feet straight away.

Step Three
Wait about 2 seconds from pressing G then jump and shoot your Badaboom at your feet twice with the double shot trick.

Performing the double shot trick
Do the following as quick succession:
Press and hold shoot, press and hold reload then press switch weapon (1,2,3 or 4)
If done correctly you should shoot off 2 shots extremely quickly then switch weapon.

Making a macro for Rocket Jumping

For reliability in the timing and performing the double shot trick you can make a macro for it.
Most gaming mice come with mouse software that allows you to make macros to save to your mouse other macro software can be found online.
Here is an example of keypresses and delays that works for me:

Using Rocket Jumping to skip to the end of digistruct peak

With rocket jumping using the aforementioned technique you can skip to the last area in digistruct peak for OP levels 3-4 or the final boss (OMGWTH) for OP levels 5-8.

First talk to Tannis (obviously) then go left after entering the first area.

Next we want to rocket jump onto this rock (you may need to kill a few nearby enemies so you have time to get the drunk effect etc.)

Now comes the really hard part, the final rocket jump.
Stand on the spot marked in the picture, get the drunk effect and throw the grenade down. Now you need to wait a tiny bit then sprint forward and rocket jump in the direction you want to go. It will likely take quite a few tries to get the hang of it.

If you landed on the left side of the door, go down the hill and fight a couple of waves of enemies (this is the end for OP 3-4) then the door will open to OMGWTH (for OP 5-8). If you landed on the right side of the door you can just ride the elevator up to OMGWTH (OP 5-8 only).

@XenoProject people will find ways to clip out of the intended play area. it doesn't affect the rest of the game, most players will not know that you can skip most of digistruct peak. just makes it slightly cooler if you find it

In fact, I'd like to share two experiments of mine I performed in the Wildlife Exploitation Preserve. I spent a lot of time looking for a skip leading straight to the central arena because I wanted to find a time efficient way of farming Son of Mothrakk with non-Salvador (and non-Krieg) characters.
I managed to do the typical Salvador Gunzerk skip from the arena exit gate as Zer0! On top of that, I found an alternative route leading to the arena which doesn't involve the usage of the Grog Nozzle.

I'll be honest... I'd be really grateful if you added them to your guide, but it's your call.

Hi, I wanted to thank you for posting this guide. It allowed me to practice and experiment with the double shot trick (which I didn't know of before reading this guide) so as to find new routes that I didn't think were reachable with characters other than a Gunzerking Salvador, or just to discover potentially new skips in general!
