Description
Mapped entirely in Hammer for the "Practical Joke" competition of the P2LC group. I've spent a lot of time building this chamber and hope that I was able to make the mechanics work without any bugs or glitches. Please tell me if you feel something doesn't work right.

The intro room is basically for fun and should be easy to solve. As to the main room, I'd rate the difficulty somewhere between medium and hard. The intended solution requires mainly logical skills and some fast moves but nothing extraordinary I think. Feel free to tell me if you disagree. The practical joke will be disclosed to anybody who solves this chamber in the intended way :)

Known bug: Autoportal ghost disappears after quicksaving and quickloading. I advise not to F6/F7 in the entry room!

Hm, made this test more than 6 years ago and hardly remember the solution. So I am afraid I am not sure how to "read" your comment, Teresa. I will definitely not update the map in any way.

I let the cube fly out from the panel near the button, then using a tight timing, a little different from standing on the eye, but still looks unintended.

Yikes, the practical joke scared me. Nice map overall. Orange funnel is very underused in the second room, however. Thumbs up.

Well, if I could remember the intended solution I would be able to 'judge' the thing you did. Unfortunately, three years after release I'm neither capable nor willing to change anything in this map ... actually I'm not sure I still have the files in proper order.

It seems I'm not the only one who did the same thing.
What a curious map, very special and fun. Just one little thing, it's a pity that the weighted button doesn't show the orange portal (in the 'first' room), only after getting the portal gun.

You're talking about the cake , right? That's what the competition was about:

"Somewhere along the way, you fabricate in the practical joke. While the player takes an action to advance in the puzzle, additionally to that action, something unexpected happens."
