Introduction
Hey, welcome to my guide on Windranger! This is my first guide, and I am not a ranked player. This is just what I've found from playing around a lot with Windranger. This is a more intermediate level guide, so if you;re an advanced player, feedback would be nice, but don't look here for the best advice.

Windranger is a very versatile hero. She can be played in a few different farm priorities, and can fill a good amount of positions on teams based on how you use her abilities and which items you get. This guide will go over a good way to build a carry or a semi-carry Windranger. You will be running farm priority 2 for her, and she will most likely be going in the mid lane. Please understand that, despite being able to carry, you won't be able to take too much damage and still have to play fairly carefully. Windranger is NOT a right-click hero.

Use your shackle when there is a tree or other unit behind the enemy hero to maximize the stun. Alternatively, if there is a creep or other unit in front of the hero you want to stun, if they're lined up you can shackle the unit in front of the hero you want to stun and it will shackle the unit to them, leaving them stunned for the full duration.

Your powershot can damage multiple enemies at once so make sure you line the opponents up to deal maximum damage when possible. it also destorys trees and gives you sight as it flies, so it can be used to scout and create an escape route.

Your windrun makes all physical attacks miss you, and increases your movement speed immensely. it is very good as an escape from auto-attack based enemies. It also works if you activate it right before you get trapped by an ability like chronosphere, as it causes all of void's auto-attacks to miss you and lets you get out unscathed.

Your focus fire is great at pushing towers and dealing immense damage to enemy heroes. Use it when pushing to take down towers quickly, and if you can solo someone on the enemy team out, comboing it with shackles lets you easily pick them off.
Early game
Start with 2 clarities, a healing salve, a tango, and 2 iron branches. Try to take a rune as quickly as possible. Upgrade your shackle, which is your q, first. You can use it for harass and as an escape at early levels. Use your large range to zone your opponent and take a lot of last hits while denying your own creeps as much as possible. Try to build Phase Boots quickly. As you level up, level up your powershot second. Then get your windrun, and return to levelling powershot. Your windrun is a reliable escape from physical damage, and your shackle is a good setup at later levels. Powershot is a long range skillshot with a fair amount of damage that can be used to secure kills and also apply pressure. When you get to level 6, upgrade your ultimate. Focus fire is very effective at pushing towers in all phases of the game, and can allow you to deal heavy damage to enemies while they are stunned or stuck in your range.
Mid game
During the mid game, you're going to start building a daedalus. Build up a crystalis first, as the crits increase the damage on your ultimate immensely. Alternatively, before you build the daedalus, you could buy a blink dagger, as it allows you to position yourself to get good shackles which can be followed up by your ultimate for a large amount of damage. If they survive on low health you can follow up with a powershot to finish them off. Once you finish daedalus, you can start building towards Aghanim's sceptre. Aghs reduces the cooldown on your ult to 15 from 60, and increases the damage each shot deals. In conjunction with the critical hits from daedalus, you will be able to deal massive damage to stunned units.
Late game
if you haven't finished your daedalus aghs combination, that should be your main focus. Once you complete both, you could build either a skull basher or a monkey king bar, depending on your economy I would recommend mkb as it has no cool down on stun and means you can't miss most targets. Whichever one you pick also depends on who is on the team you;re playing against. Also, if you don;t have a blink already, it would be a good idea to purchase one. They allow for a lot more diversity and power in how you can act. If you get the mkb, with your daedalus and aghs, if you get a shackle off and hit them with your ult, they will most likely be chain stunned until they die.
If facing off of people who make your shackle very difficult to land or are too tanky for your ultimate to handle, build a scythe of vyse. It will allow you to take on the heroes who your abilities have trouble dealing with. if it is easy for you to use shackles and finish off enemy heroes, I would recommend a linkins sphere as it would make it much harder to interrupt your focus fire and make you last longer in general. If you can, upgrade from Phase Boots to Boots of Travel. The only items you really need are Aghs, Daedalus, BoT, and Blink. The other items are situational. Instead of an MKB or a scythe, you could build other items, like an orchid malevolence, an eye of skadi, or even a second daedalus. MKB is a very strong item though, and I highly recommend it. Scythe allows you to have extra lockdown as well, so it is very nice to have. Orchid allows for much easier split pushing, and the eye of skadi makes it much harder to escape from you.

Thanks for reading my guide! Good luck, and remember that any feedback is appreciated!

i usually play WindRanger in either solo mid or offlane..but,to be fair honest, diffusal blade is better than basher.also, try buying aghs as early as possible to maximize kills and push towers. WindRanger is an reliable farmer. She can buy items quite efficiently. Also, when having trouble shackling your opponent, force staff is also a potent initiating item.Try shackling an enemy creep heading to your enemy and fire a quick but accurate shackle. And try building a mjollnir.Mjollnir is a good pushing item.It works well in conjunction with your ulti. MKB is also a good damage item.Getting an Eye of Skadi is also great as your enemies will not be easy to run from you(and the additional stats are also quite useful).

i play a lot of windranger and what i do is upgrade my powershot as fast as i can because early game it kicks peoples health down a lot a lot then i shackle them and right click (or use focous fire) when they start running away i ussualy have my powershot again and i use it(as long as you have good aim you can hit them) and they die try adding that in and it gets you some good kills and assists

I don't have a carry with doctor guide no. Basher is for a perma-stun so you can pick people off easily. Also, Building aghs before daedalus is definitely an option, just with daedalus first it'll deal more than respectable damage. I never thought about battle fury. I didn't think the cleave worked for ranged heroes. Also AssaultC is definitely a viable option, but I think that the attack speed bonus is unnecessary.
