Hello Chris, thank you for your detailed feedback. I am happy that you like this scenario! I had the same problems and slightly reduced the scenery objects in the settings of TS. But just like you said: all this crash-dump-stuff should be gone with the 64bit version of TS! Best wishes, Tob

I can't believe it - I had a Dump crash 3 miles before my arrival back at Dumfries and because I was so engrossed in the scenario I had clean forgotten to save it!! I will wait until the ts2019 upgrade is done on Thursday and then try again. Hopefully the reports are correct and File dumps may be a thing of the past. I must say though that I totally enjoyed the scenario up to that point and will certainly try it again.

Thank you so much for your nice and detailed feedback, Roland BP! I am happy to hear that you've succeeded and even learned to handle that beast properly. :-) All the best, Tob

Wow, now that was a great scenario.
I learned a thing or two about keeping steam up in this loco on the uphill. I got stuck after that first grade from Maxwell town. So I found I needed the blower on full and the firebox door open until I was at full steam. Then I made sure I kept the firebox heat at 90^ or more to keep the pressure up. AI8 got held up behind me until I made the top of the grade, but then I was away and never held it up again.
I never made it to Castle Douglas until 9pm.
The drive back was so much easier., except for the cold, what a night for the turntable to be out of action. :steamfacepalm:
Once I got back to the depot I went home and had a hot shower :steamhappy:

Thanks for another great run on the best route on TS. Presumably this was winter with the snow etc., but it was very light still at 2100 hrs!!
