Importing a Blueprint
By TheVoidstarTY
In this guide, I will be showing you how to place one of your blueprints into your world of Space Engineers!

Please Note: In order to do this in singleplayer, you will need a projector which will create a hologram of the ship for you to copy.

Loading up and Preparing your Blueprints
First off, load up your world. I loaded up 'Easy Start 1' as a demonstration.

Once it has opened up, you will want to open up the Blueprints menu. To do this, simple press Ctrl B.
Please note that the more blueprints you have, the longer the delay to open up the blueprints menu.

Once you have done this, left click of the one you want and click OK. This will automatically copy the blueprint for you.
Importing your Blueprint
Please note: Before I go into this section, I just want to say that in the next two images you will see some... let's say... missing parts to my ship. This is only because I forgot to add the mods that included the parts that were missing so make sure that you check if your ship requires mods. If so then activate it BEFORE you load up you server.
In order to place your blueprint into the world, simply press Ctrl V.
Please note: The bigger the ship, the longer the paste delay will be.

Once the ship is read to be spawned in, left click.

Well done! You now have a ship that you can happily smash to pieces over and over again.
Deleting your Ship
Tired of your ship and/or its body parts floating away in space? Go over to the ship/part and press Ctrl X. This will delete EVERYTHING connected. Anything that isn't connected will stay there in which you will have to delete that once seperately.
Step 1: Look at your ship.

Step 2: Press Ctrl X and click yes.

Step 3: Boom! And the ship is gone!

Hope this guide helped you ALL out a lot! Enjoy importing your ships and have a great day!

Are you on a laptop? If so, check if the system is intercepting the call and running something like volume down. Some desktop keyboards do it too. See your manufacterer for how to disable it.

If not, it might be hidden under experimental mode, which you'll have to turn on in game settings. I don't think it is, but that's the only other explanation I can think of.

Why is a 2015 guide popular...

UPDATED SHORTCUTS:

F10 opens blueprint menu.
Ctrl + B saves current ship as blueprint.
Ctrl + X deletes curent ship and copies it.
Ctrl + V pastes copied ship. (If copy/paste is turned off this will NOT work, check in game settings before loading)
Press B to align a ship with gravity. (@Superagent66)

Note that Ctrl + B no longer opens the blueprint menu at all.
