Machine Attacks Map Series Guide

This guide will help you understand all the maps in the Machine Attacks map series by RedMyClan.

If the server you join gives you an error saying something like: "Your ep map differs from the server's". Navigate to the "SteamApps/common/team fortress 2/tf/maps" folder and delete the specified ep the server will redownload it and you can play.

In this episode I recomend you have an engineer a medic and a spy. What you must do is kill bots until the area you can walk in grows bigger so keep killing the bots. Engis make sure you don't put your tele by a dispenser or players will lose the crits they got from stepping on the red breifcase. Also when you get to the boss battle stay in the hall that you enter through. The boss can't see you even though you can shoot him and you can easily kill him with a sentry there.

EP1 QuickTips and way to defeats blu players (which controls robots)

So, if you are new on there it will be hard for you no doubt. But it could be easily solved. For EP1 i suggest Engineer and Soldier. In EP1 other classes have to protect Engineer to safely move its stuff to pushing forward. Here is little yet quicktips for Engineers;

IF YOU HAVE BLU PEOPLE ON YOUR GAME READ HERE;

There will be always some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who likes to play as a robot and plays or uses an uber medic to get around your defense. Usually they'll come back when you've forgotten about them and try to stab you in the back. Or if they can they'll get into your spawn and destroy your teleporter.

IF YOU DON'T HAVE BLU PEOPLE ON YOUR GAME READ HERE;

It's rare thing to not have blu on opposite side but if you ever face with it you just need to get understand of AI's Algorithm. 95% of AI will follow bomb rest of them will come to your spawnpoint unless you kill them. So place your stuff wherever you want. But careful there will be too much uber medic and heavy but they're not goes as pair everytime.

There will be 4 stages for you. (It's 5 but last one is final boss fight)

On First Stage:
Bots will stay near of your spawn. With briefcase of course. As i said previously 95% of them will stay with bomb-holder others will come to your spawn if they're not killed. There will be following bots on there:

Chargin' Pipe (QuickInfo: Chargin' Targe has 50% Explosion and 50% fire resistance and Immune to afterburn effects. Charging with Chargin' targe will give them very short attack speed bonus. Uses stock pipebombs.)

Soldier: There is no need to give quickinfo for it. Everything will be stock on it.

Scouts: Same as Soldiers for Stage 1

And when limit reached they will start to move to another spot. There will be following bots will presents:

Soldier/Buff Soldier/Battalion Soldier: No need to explain. I assume most of you know what they giving out but let me quick brief about it. (QuickInfo: Buff Banner gives mini-crits to allies for limited amount of time/Battalions Backup gives +20 max hp, crit protection, 35% incoming damage (all sources) 50% incoming sentry damage. Both of banners could be upgraded to last longer up to
50% more (only on RED))

Wrapper's Assasin: Scouts with Wrapper's Assasin equipped (Crit Boosted)(QuickInfo: Wrapper's Assasin has ball that you can throw at your enemies to make them bleed, with 70% damage penalty on it)

Demoknights: Equipped Chargin' Targe & Eyelander as usual.

Chargin' Pipe: Explained.

Stage 3:

There will be following robots:

Uber Medics: Spawns with ready-up Ubercharges (Stock Medi-Gun equipped)
Kritz Medics: Same as Uber Medics, but their Ubers gives 100% crits.

Hunter: Equipped Huntsman.

Heavy: Equipped Stock Minigun.

Chargin' Pipe/Demoknights: Explained.

Accurately Sniper: Has low amount of reaction MS speed. That makes them shoot their target very fast. Try to avoid and kill them since they have full crit boosted stock Rifle's.

And Stage 4:

There will be following robots on-board:

Fire Igniter(Shotgun Pyro): Has stock Shotgun modified to ignite you.
Pyro: Has low amount of reaction MS which could deflect your rockets very fast. Avoid it as much as you can.

Other robots just same as Stage 1-2-3.
Careful there will be sniper on there where bots will come.

And last stage final boss:
Before entering it you may have to kill sniper to avoid death. Then you have to go right side. Reach the vault door, when Demoman says "Shoot the door down" start shooting to the door. It will break in brief period.
Don't run there will be boss awating you. If you ran too fast and close to the door you'll die from a little explosion and your friends as well which is near of you. After this the boss will appear. Final boss have 80K (80.000 HP) which is makes no sense for first EP. However there will be blind spot of it if you stay there you will not get hit. Otherwise it has The Original which shoots 4 crit boosted rocket that deals 540 damage per rocket.

After killing boss, i recommend opening vote for EP2 due to it gives server shutting down error. If your vote not gathers enough Yes please say this to your team "If you get server shutting down error please reconnect after 5 seconds". Thats it.
Ep2
This one is a bit trickier you have to have a brain on this ep (or just follow my guide). You need a spy and a scout. I'd also recomend engi, medic and heavy. First part you must go down the tunnel you will notice it collapses and you can't get past, YOU DON'T WANT TO TRY breaking it until the tank comes. You will know to break the rock when you have heard 2 tank noises. Or until the character lines display.

Next are the lasers. You might need a scout for this but demo can use his stickies to block lasers. When you're done that you will be stuck at a laser gate.
The code for the laser gate is A, C, B, D.

Next there's a door just hop up onto the area above it to the left and break the control panel until the door opens.





Now spy needs to disguise run past the sentries and touch the controls up by the second floor NO SAPPING.




Now go down the stairs to find a broken door just get through it. Now touch this controller for about 4 seconds.


Once done that go back up to where spy touched the controls and disabled the sentries and touch both controllers again. Now get scout or a jumping class to climb up and press the red button to open a door in the hallway just before the sentry area.




Now through that you have a survival mode part. You must not let the bots do any damage to the generator that's in the center of the room. At normally 75% wave complete you win and at 75% there another door opens for the bots so be prepared. The survival part runs on a timer not how many bots killed so if you don't make it to 75% it's fine but average 75%.

After you win head to the train if a door blocks you break it down. Then touch the blue controllers by the train and you win.

TIPS AND NOTES [Crystal Maiden]

EP2 is relaxing wave if you have Engineers that knows that one. Otherwise it could be turn to chaos for all players which they will not want.

Lets start.

Firstly you'll spawn cave-like area with your friends i suggest get 2 Engineers, Soldiers and must be a Scout and temporarily Spy (If there is person knows how to pass sentries could be Medic instead of Spy as well).

For Engineers, put a dispenser spawnarea to later ammo support. And if you have Wrangler put sentry too.

After the wave begins a pile of rock will block your way to elevator. Follow the on-screen text and when it says "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ we need to clear block" attack on the pile of rock until it destroyed. (You cannot destroy the tank that comes right at to you) and go on elevator. (QuickInfo: Elevator could only handle 3 person if there will be more it will stop and you'll lose the wave) After at most 3 people reaches top there will be a door open to next spawnarea. When you spawned there will be an upgrade station right in front of your view. And a supply depot. After on screen dialog ends you'll go to inside. But there will be lasers that you have to avoid and pass. After someone passes lasers he/she have to go and touch the controller on outside (on left) to disable lasers. And second laser gate could be disable with this code "ACBD" only one person suggesting to do it due to prevent it from corrupting. After that you have to go on top left and have to hit on or orange shield (or something like that) after you hit 1-2 times there will be controller open hit that one too until it destroyed down. After this go on door, door will open as well. There will be sentries ahead. And this is where we use spy/medic. Spy have to go right, to upstair and have to touch right controller (blu one) to disable sentries. After it one person have to go left and have to pass jammed door after passing that door you have to look left and stand near of the controller on the attached picture for 5 seconds it will give you "Now its unlocked" warning. Go back to sentry room. Go upstairs and press left controller. There will be passage opens for you. That only Scout, Soldier or Demoman could pass. Both of them have to go in white room and press red button to open door for others. After this you'll have to follow the way and when reached generator the wave will be start. Engineers have to be quick on there. If there is one Engineer i suggest him to put his sentry on ground. If two one could be on the ground and one could be on top left. Plus you'll have upgrade station on top left as well. After Heavy says "Haa, come on robots" on on-screen text that wave will start. This one includes percentage system. Each percentage adds new bots. Here is quickinfo for them.

0-25%

Blaster Scout: Given out Baby Face's Blaster
Uber Medics: Which will be have UberCharge ready and they uses it on single damage.
Detonator Pyro's: Given out Detonator

(On 75% right gate will be open)
At 75% both of doors will be open.
(In addition to previous ones)
Left gate will be same robots.

On Right gate there will be following robots oncome:

Steel/Iron Heavy: Equipped The Fists of Steel (QuickInfo: Fists of Steel reduces damage taken by Ranged sources by 40% but you'll take 100% more damage from melee sources)
Demoknights: Explained.
Buff/Battalion Soldiers: Explained
Advanced Samurai Soldiers: Equipped Half-Zatoichi & Concheror (QuickInfo: Half-Zatoichi gives 100% hp regen on kill but you cannot change weapons unless you have kill with it./Concheror gives base +2 hp regeneration. speed buff and heal-on-hit ability for brief period. It could be upgraded to last longer if you're defenders side.)
Hunters: Explained

When Engineer says "Those thing already connected to generator everyone get back" you have to go back on your spawnpoint. Best way to go in there is teleporting. Otherwise if you going there walk by the door will close and you'll have to destroy it to pass. Then at least 2 of team players have to touch controllers to start train. And EP2 will be end.
Ep3
This is a frustrating but fun level. I recomend soldier, engi, medic and scout.

To complete it shoot the missiles. To make it easier jump onto the train when it has stopped moving past you. Then shoot the missiles or kill the bot giants. Killing the bot giants makes it ALOT less frustrating.
Ep4
In this episode I recomend engi, medic, pyro and soldier.

On this ep you arrive by what looks like Cp_well. There is a fun exploit on this map but I won't share it right now.

First you must kill a giant demoman then you fight a soldier. This soldier on his last phase has basically a nuke launcher so get that pyro out. Now when you'v killed the sodlier on his last phase go under the water and through a giant pipe. Next is a little parkour. Then you get out and there's a control room with another code thing like from Ep2. The code is as follows: "BAC BCA CAB". Next there is a short elevator past some wooden barricade that breaks when you go near the dead blue player and wait. Soldier will rocket jump up to a platform near the ceiling and any player should shoot the button go down and activate a controller.

Now you will fight Jakate. After the fight reactivate the controls that you took the short elevator to. Now activate the controls by the dead blue player and you win.
Ep5
I recomend engi, medic and soldier.

Just get on the elevator and start. If you want to have a good time getting in vents DON'T UPGRADE JUMP HEIGHT. Tip: Leave someone by the upgrades to stay alive so you don't
lose if everyone on the elevator dies. Now if you bump into eachother you will stop the elevator on other eps it kills you if you do this so be happy this ep doesn't. Now when the elevator crashes you must climb up through the vents. Sodliers can take a short cut by only needing the first vents. Others keep heading straight through the first vent until you reach what looks like a hopeless jump. This jump is so easy though because it pushes you up when you jump towards it. When climbing through the second vents just hold crouch and forward.
Ep6
I recomend engi, medic and spy.

Hug the door then when it opens go down the hall way to your left. There's a door at the end that opens. Now go into the water room and take the pipe on your right. If you took the right pipe there should be a big wall to break engi shuold place a dispenser there. Then beat up the wall.

Once done just press the button and now go through the other pipe. Get past the turbines and find a pipe with a grating in it. Shoot the button by the gate that's closed that'll let your team through then just suicide.

Now go left from the water room and very top. There you will find a tunnel leading to the gate you opened. Now just go through and up. Then wait for the door to pen then spy needs to disguise and go to the very back of the long room. There he can cap without disturbing the bots. Once capped there is the boss fight.

The glitchiest boss fight in the series. Here you will get a demo as the boss BUT. Pyro gets teleported wrongly so if you don't kill pyro fIRST then you can't finish the ep. I'v finished it only 3-5 times because of this bug. Now when done you must break the door and run for your life.
Ep7
Ah good ol' confusing ep7. I'd recommend engi, and medic. You NEED spy and soldier.

Anyways so you start break down the brown wooden door blocking you then YOU FARM MONEY FROM PYROS. You will need the money don't shoot the tank until you all have everything you need fully upgraded. Get spy to sap the sentries if it's too annoying.

Once you have enough money from the pyro's and the tank is destroyed go back to spawn get your shotgun and shoot the little white and black physics objects until they reach the stall.


If you're the dedicated battery pusher climb up the hill by the second part and touch the floating neutral cp to get invisibility. Then push the battery using your shotgun to the stall and into the black hole in the wall just by the button. Then push the button.


Note: Precise tools for pushing the battery are: pistol, shotgun, sniper rifle and probably the scattergun.

Then get past the crate area and to a rather hard area. Here is my speciality. The controller must only follow others directions but also know the order to push the buttons.

A is for the elevator and the white door. B is for the lasers by the white door and under it and also the vault door. The vault door is open when the lasers in the room are on so be careful. C is for the bridge. D is for the elevator behind the bridge.

The order for the controller: A wait for the players to get up the elevator and onto the platform. A Open the white door. B Cut off the white door lasers. B Turn on the white door lasers / close the vault door. B Turn on the room lasers / open the vault door. C Start up the bridge. C Open the gate at the bridge. D send them up to the parkour and wish 'em good luck.

Now once they've got you guys over. There is a maze then some fighting, some rocket jumping, some lasers, some sentries and then some more fighting. To advance after a floor completion touch the red tiny cp. You need spy for the sentries part. Then there's the boss fight. GL
Ep8 (Boring)
You should prob skip this because it does take awhile and is boring.

I'v nothing else to say it's just like normal mvm.

[LITTLE NOTE AND TIPS FOR IT](Crystal Maiden)

1. It's 10 wave normal mvm match
2. Here is quick tips for it;
On Wave 5 you have to be aware about Giant Stunner Scouts which could be highly dangerous if they have bomb. They can quickly go and deploy bomb. For preventing it use airblast, natascha, direct hit with any RPG that has Rocket Specialist upgrade or mad milk & jarate (if slow upgrade bought) They have low amount of hp if you can slow them down you'll kill them very easily without hesitating.

On about other bots on Wave 5, there is Giant Heavy, Giant Unzoom Sniper, Giant Crit Soldier, Giant Pyro Super Pusher, Giant Demoknight, Giant Guardian Demoman presents.

The following weapons has been given them to use;
Giant Heavy: Stock Minigun
Giant Unzoom Sniper: The Bazaar Bargain
Giant Crit Soldier: The Original
Giant Pyro Super Pusher: The Degreaser (Its nerfed to push you very far)
Giant Demoknight: Chargin' Targe & Eyelander
Giant Guardian Demoman: Stock Pipebomb Launcher
Giant Stunner Scout: The Sandman

Wave 5 will be harder than previous four wave. And there is a Spy warning, no worry there will be no spy on that wave. It's guarenteed.
However the most lethal and dangerous one is Giant Stunner Scout since it could deploy a bomb under a minute if you dont stop it. Be aware of it.

On Wave 6-7-8;
There will be other classified bots which mostly hard to kill and could be lethal. Those bots are, Chaos Pyro's, Flying Scouts, Tank Heavies etc. Chaos Pyro's causes lethal amount of bleeding with marking to the death. It can be cured with Health Kits but you'll lose your approximately 60% of movespeed for a brief period. I'd not recommend Medic healing because Chaos Pyro hits drains ubercharge/cloack meter as well as damaging Medic too.

Flying Scouts could jump roof of the map which makes them hard to kill and they regains health. So you need to kill them as soon as you can. I'd recommend sapping them since its stopping their jump.

And Tank Heavies, as the name they have same amount of health as a Tank. They has 25K (25.000)HP and hard to kill. Best tip i could give out is backstab. Backstab causes instant kill rather than trying to kill it with other weapons as well.

And Wave 9;
Contains copy players (you may heard it on 30 wave missions as well) They're just like you. Same upgrades. Same upgrades with each classes. Only Sniper not uses Rifle, it given out to Huntsman.
A tip for Wave 9 is killing their Medic first, as you can guess the Medic upgraded as well. And it comes with Heavy too. So you need to get it first you cannot knockback it due to its upgraded. And there will be a Tank but its not hard to destroy it. As to be honest Tank is the easiest one on that wave though.

Wave 10(The Final Boss);
Spencer, aka Heavy Boss. It will have 4 form. First one has Fists, Second one has Tornado effect (Fists with ranged attack which causes you lose your movespeed for 5-8 seconds), Third one is uses Shotgun but it shoots very fast approximately given out 60-65% firing speed. Last one is has full crit boosted Minigun and has same amount of attack speed as Overclocked Heavy (30 wave mission again). So it may crash your game, even your computer.

Biggest tip i could ever give out for it is; Get bulletproof from Room 8 when Third Spencer spawns. And i suggesting to a soldier to get it because last one has -100% explosion vulnerable which makes your rockets deals 900 full damage (on crits of course) and it makes killing way more easier.

Final Words:
As my friend Khorps said its long and slow EP. You may don't want to play it just skip it to 9 if you don't want to simply.
Ep9
Take a ride on a plane. Firstly your plane can take damage but the bot's can't. Secondly there are 3 bot planes. One by one they come. Third plane drops giants on you. When you're done just jump down and ride the frustrating unrealistic avoid the robot corpses that are defying gravity game.

For a very boring experience but 100% win all must go spy and disguise at all itmes. Then you simply must wait.
Ep10
Start it up shoot the vents shoot the fan in the vent. Get in. Then there'll be a hole in one side of the grated area. Break the boxes through it then shoot the lock on the door. (If you can't shoot the lock get engi to go near the hole with a tele blueprint out and jump up and down near it. Get an exit in and go through to use the lever. Then shoot grenades up into the vent near the hole in the grating. Blow up that switch and. GL
Ep10b
Alot of people can't play this episode on servers that run machine attacks. But if you are able to get in one with some other people there'll be a sort of survival bit at the start where you just need to kill robots and wait, then a parkour area. That's roughly how it is atleast.
Ep11
Cap the points kill the engi kill dat spy and wait for ep12.

To kill a bot choose a class with a gun. Use the scroll wheel to choose your gun then look at a robot and press the left mouse button. Congrats you injured a bot. To cap a point hold the forward walking button and walk onto a shiny thing and stand there till it's color changes.
Ep12
Quite obvious really. I recommend you pick up the parachute thingy spell on your way to the end, it can get you across the final cliff area if you find the jumps too difficult.

The sentry on the cliff is quite annoying, just hide close to the wall just before the jump and then use speed boost plus jump to get across before the sentry can knock you off.
Ep13
I recommend engi, medic and soldier.

First use your grappling hooks to fly around the map and kill robots. Once a certain amount of time has passed you can proceed to the next area. The transition is at the end of the canyon on a cliff.


Now shoot the plane until it explodes then kill the titans. Once they die continue up to the elite robot area. Take engis tele back to spawn and touch a bomb near the upgrade station. Once it says you've picked it up go to where the elite spawn and plant it.


Next part more grinding giants.


Basicaly more grinding robots.


Keep grinding.

Now titans will appear but it's still grinding.

Then the boss fight. It's really simple just a pyro. But to avoid getting thrown into the air and dying use your grappling hook to latch onto the ground. Laugh while everyone else falls dead from the sky.

ive been playing on titan.tf server for years now and have done episode 2 many times but i have no idea how the puzzle works lol. thanks for this guide this explain alot.

2 people have too press it togheter, if you are solo and engi you can place an entrance at one controller and the exit at the other and just teleport as it presses both at the same time

Ah yea i almost forgot in Ep3 make sure you kill the robo engie and its sentry gun because if i guarantee you 100% you will get knocked off the train repeatedly like being spawn camped by a freaking AI
