Basileia Romaion - Kingdom of the Romans

Description
An alternative Byzantine History modification for Rome 2

THE MOD:
Basileia Romaion (Kingdom of the Romans) is a modification for turtling and role playing your roman campaign.
By its architecture it is a very simple mod, which doesnt need any kind of update, even if the game is patched and if new DLC are downloaded. You can use Basileia Romaion on a new game, an existing saved game, and you can even remove Basileia Romaion, your saved game will continue to work properly. It's meant to be played as the Romans in the grand campaign, even if compatible with the other factions and campaign modes.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
With Basileia Romaion, expect no added challenge, as the units are cheap to produce and to maintain. The only goal of the modification is to create an as simple as possible game play in order to make your kingdom/empire last 1000 years or more. Be an alternative Byzantine Empire and rewrite History!

THE GOAL:
Play with the Romans and limit the expansion of your empire to Italy, the Africa region of Carthage, Greece, Asia Minor, and Egypt. Then defend it for 1000 turns and rewrite history with a alternative version of the Greek speaking Byzantine Empire.

MODIFICATION:
* All roman units cost 45 denarii to recruit and 9 denarii/turn to maintain: easier to turtle, even with a small empire
* Hexaremes' campaign cap removed: fleets can now be used as armies of marines
* Artillery ammunition amount for all non Roman factions greatly reduced
* Auxiliary and Cohors barracks provide an important social order bonus
* Probability of civil war set to zero
* Unit cards modified (roughly 95% of the games' units have a new unit card)
* Romans use the flag, symbol and colors of the Byzantine Empire from Attila TW and MTW2: anachronical, but your ultimate goal is to be the new Byzantine Empire!
* Battle camera lowered for better zooming on units in combat: fully enjoy the fights and the finishing moves
* Battle animation reworked: more 1vs1 combats, dodge, block and death animations
* Armoured Legionaries modified in order to reflect the high tier, more byzantine -understand hellenic/eastern-, elite unit it is supposed to be: Increased their base melee damage (now close to evocatis), Increased their base defense, moral and health (now close to the "heroes of Sparta" unit). Their scutum shield replaced by a hellenic, more "byzantine", round shield. They now also wear a foot cataphract helmet.
* Praetorian Cavalry modified in order to reflect the high tier, more byzantine -understand hellenic/eastern-, elite unit it is supposed to be: they now share the "cataphract-like" equipement of the Armoured Legionaries and have their stats rised closer to those of the elite Eastern Cataphract units. They use a long cavalry lance without shield.
* The Roman Legatus (high tier general unit) modified totally in order to reflect the more oriental and byzantine look it should have.
It now shares the armour of the cataphract, uses a spear with a small round oriental cavalry shied.
Its stats are close to the those of the roman cavalry cataphract unit (Praetorian cav. in the mod)
but slightly weaker in term of charge bonus.
*Pila's base damage greatly increased (for all factions)
*Roman Leves replaced by Syrian Auxiliary Archer unit (no cap set, intentionally: use it with moderation especially in early game)
*Plebeans in siege battles are now replaced by auxiliary infantry units
*Tower Hexaremes (tech level IV) transport now an Armoured Legionaries cohort

If you like the mod, a little +1 will be appreciated :)
Thanks!

the dikefalos was used mainly way later by the Palaiologos family, so as I wrote in the desciption it is TOTALLY anachronical. The real symbol of the period should be the Xhi Rho but as I didnt changed the religion in the mod it would be silly to have a christian symbol for pagans... if you have a better suggestion for the symbol of that fictional roman empire still pagan, but conquering and evolving the byzantine way, please, tell me :D

Quick file update: New unit card added (temporary work in progress) for the elite cataphract units.
