Introduction
Heya mates! My name is CreepyPastaPony, but you can just call me Creepy if you'd like! I am a massive gamer, ranging from Minecraft to Flash Games to Indie Games to some other well known brands of gamign such as TF2, Slender: Eight Pages and today...DoTA 2. I will be here to describe the in's and out's of one of my favorite heroes: Weaver. This guide will go over an overall opinion and overview of Weaver, what role he fits into, his spells and abiltiies, items to get, good and bad lane parters, people he counters and people that coutner him. With the guide, you will know the right way to play this stellar insect...with a will and way to escape anything the enemies throw at you.

Overview of Weaver
" I weave into the pattern..." This is an entriely true quote from Weaver himself, if you consider the pattern the enemy forces. Weaver is an extremely versatile carry and pusher with plenty of escapes. Now why would he need escapes? Because his strength gain, to ay the least, is utterly glacial. So you need to use your escapes constantly to contribute to your team. While your escapes are a good wayto stay in the fight, you need a way to be helpful, so you need to farm up items that allow you to stay alive, escape more and hit harder. Thankfully, Weaver is the type of hero that can farm with ease, as his passive allows him to autoattack half the time and still get a last hit, and can get out of a situation with a tap of a button. Within no time at all if you build him up correctly, you will find yourself weaving deep into enemy lines, punching them with everything you have to do damage. However, to get to that level, you need to understand how his abilities work, an that i will teach you in the next section

Abilities of the Weaver
Weaver relies on his abilities A LOT to say the least, and without him, he would't be the amazing hero he is. Sure with these sets of spells, he can be a true nuisance to go against, but he's too fun to not play, so abilities you shall learn!

The Swarm:
Ooh, the Swarm is a pretty big offensive spell for your cockaroach. Weaver sends out a swarm of baby Weavers to swarm the area in the path he casts it in, Weaverites so to say. Any units it hits will recieve a baby weaver, eating away at their essaence, capping out at 12 babies max per swarm. Each level you put into it increases the amount of damage per second they do (Or dps for those a bit more term savvy) and they have a constant armor reduction of one. They take eight hits to get rid of, which gives Weaver enough time to rush in and pelt you with attacks, which with reduced armor is a whopping amount. Overall, a good items for some of the people you want to make sure they're low enough to go against. It can also be pushed into a onslaughting creep wave, and can stop them for a good while to let you wave continue pushign a tower. All in all, a really good ability, often underplayed.

Shukuchi:
I've heard this spell pronounced so many different way, but they all get the same point across. THIS SPELL IS ANNOYING AS ♥♥♥♥. Without this ability however, Weaver would never be played. This spell turns you invisible, with max movement speed, and applies damage to any enemy unit you pass through. Its a hard to counter spell, as even if you have sight, he moves too fast for you anyways, and he can spam that spell to do constant damage to you. This spell is the very essence of Weaver, so use it when pushing creeps, to get in the teamfight, to get out of teamfights, or just to vex your enemies.

Geminate Attack:
This passive is what makes Weaver so good at farming, ganking, and hitting anything in general, Basically, when it is up, you will hit twice. IOt may not sound glamourous, but it actually quite utility when it comes down to it. Hopefully, you will be building up Weaver to be a heavy hitter, so in a sense its a double damage rune every few seconds when you look at it. This is what makes Weaver an annoying hero to counter, because besides his escapes, he will be hitting you more than any other hero, statistically, doing pretty heavy damage.

Time Lapse:
The definition of life saver ultimate. Time Laspe takes you back to what you were 5 seconds ago, health and mana wise. While it doesn't affect spell cooldown, I think this .gif says eveything i need to say about his ultimate...watch closely. He goes back to exatly 5 seconds ago.

Now while Weaver may have his stack of escapes, to realy make sure you survive, you will neeed some heavy hitting items, which i will tell you below.
Items of The Weaver
Weaver is a versatile escape hero, but if left outi n the open, or stunned, you can get backed into a corner, so you want so items to help you stay alive and hit harder.

Starting Items: They are pretty simple, three branches and tangos are sufficient for your purposes, and once you start to get progressive farm, you want to start building up Power Treads, as the stats are needed for him to farm even more, and the added attack speed is good. However, is want output damage, Phase ]Boots are acceptable, but not recommended.

Core Items: When you are done with your boots, you want to start ganking and farming up for Linkens Sphere, it proides health and mana regen, and blocks a targeted spell every 17 seconds. This is spells like Brain Sap, Life DRain, Storm Hammer and the like that require a direct target. However, abiltiies liek Diabolic Edict, Nether Blast, Meathoook, Sacred Arrow and the like don't get blocked, as they dont have direct targets.

Extension: After Linken's there are many items to which you can go, which i will describe here below.
Maelstrom: Get this inbetween Linken's and Deso if you want, it can help you build up to a bigger item later on.
Desolator: This works hand in hand with the swarm and lets you dish out some heavy damage,
Butterfly: This will make you harder to pin down than a cockaroach on caffiene...which is what you'll be. Between Linkens and Buttefly you will be near unhittable.
Daedalus: The crits work hand in hand with geminate attack. Great way to tear down foes fast.
Mjolnir: Told you it could build up to a bigger item. This gives you insane attack speed, more damage, chain lightning, and the active gives you a sheil of lightning, which is good when trying to escape.
Radiance: If the enemies lack disables and silences, you can skip the Linkens and try to farm up Radiance to become the most annoying cockroach ever

Now, you may have items set out for you, but you have some important choices to make when it comes to the begining of the game, which is lane partners.
Lane Partners for The Weaver
Weaver is a strange hero when it comes to lane partners, and very similar to Brood is the aspect of that a lot of people work well with him, or he can work alone. However, there are two rules you have to follow

DONT PICK TO LANE WITH A HERO THAT NEEDS FARM

You're Weaver, so your geminate attack and shukuchi can let you pick up gold pretty fast.. However, if you are laning with a PA or Slark, you are going to find yourself at odds with your partners, as you will be competing over gold, kills, last hits, denies, and basically just tryign to one-up each other as a carry. It normally doesn't work out in the long run, so if you need your farm, try and make one of them be a jungle hero, you solo lane or mid, and let the other people worrry about duel carry lanes.

DONT PICK TO LANE WITH ANOTHER INVIS HERO

Chances are, if you have another invis hero in lane, its a carry, and a farmign carry at that. Carries are okay, as long as they don't need kills or complete monitor on the lane's farm. However, if you're laning with another invis hero, you're screwed, as your just about askign for near insta-sentries, which is bad both for you and your lane partner. So heed my words, NO OTHER INVIS HEROES IN LANE. (Unless it is Treant Protector. He is great lane partner for added heal, mana boots is a pick up for him, good slows and immobilization. Treant is A-Okay.)

Countering: To and For The Weaver
DoTA 2 is a game about choices, some good and some bad, and countering is one of the more important choices. I will list below what you squish to dust and what can squish you into rubble,

WHAT YOU COUNTER:

Squishy Casters:
Thiis is just about true for any heavy hitter, your armor reduction and geminate attack and shukuchi will make quick work of just about any caster, and the items you farm up will make it even easier to smash them.

Sight Reliant Heroes:
Heroes like Pudge, Templar Assasin, Slark and so forth that need you to be in sight for them to work. Your max movement speed and time lapse can dodge and undo any damage they migtt be able to put forth.

AoES:
Area of Effect Spells are the bane of a lot of invis heroes, but not you. Your current mobility and escapes allow you to dodge a lot of the AoES that are thrown your way.

WHAT COUNTERS YOU:

Targeted Spells/ Abilties:
These are the targeted stuns, silences, disables and debuffs that Weaver doesn't appreciate. The true reaosn why you get Linken's and not BKB in general, as you want to just stop the targeted spells. Too many targeted spells will take you out, so even with Linken's you need to be on your guard for those types of spells.

True Sight: Whilst is isn't the worst of things to be afraid of, if they have you perma stunned when there is a sentry, its not going to end up well.
So long!
Well, you are coming to the end of the guide now, my third one. Please, do rate, comment, tell me what can be changed, improved, allowed, kept as I am not very experienced with guide creation and its ettiquite. But! That is beside the point. This is CreepypastaPony, or Creepy if you prefer, wishing to see you weaving havok amongst the battlefield!
