yeah, it's got a key...but I thought Steam didn't update retail games??? Unless they were like Steam only?

The latest version is v1.006. That's what I have.

Does you disc version come with a key? If so, you may be able to add it to Steam.

What is the latest version of SOC ? I ask because I was gonna install my retail boxed version and don't know what patches to look for.

Idk why? I've not ever had any problems with that? I think quick_save is the #6 key in this game.
