These are a few tiny secrets that can be quite helpful.

2. Free fireproof containers

You may have noticed that backpack is much better than the piggyback. Those extra slots aren't quite worth the slow speed, even with a walking cane, right?
Well, piggybacks have a secret usage. First, let me explain something. Chests have 9 slots. They're not fireproof, meaning if a chest starts to burn, everything in the chest will be turned into ash, unless it was a tool or a fireproof material (like rock, flint or cut stone.). Now, piggyback has 12 slots, and, are you ready for it? IT'S FIRE PROOF So, it has more slots and it's fireproof. In conclusion, you shouldn't build chests, instead, you should craft piggybacks. They also can't be destroyed by giants, making them even better.

Bonus tip: you can leave fireproof stuff on the ground instead of storing them in the piggyback. These items include tools (even torches), many armors and dressing items. To see if an item is fireproof, equip a torch and hover over it with your mouse. If under your cursor is written "light", it means it's flammable. If it doesn't say anything, it means it's fireproof.

3. Instant 40 manure

Woah, now, are you trying to tell me I can get quickly 40 manure or more! That's right! Screw those beefalos! All you need is one pig. First, collect 40 petals. Now, collect 4 monster meat. Find a pig. Drop the petals on the ground. Feed the pig 4 pieces of monster meat. Now, it will turn into a werepig. Get a little away from the werepig. It will starting looking for food. It will see the petals and it will start eating them. Now you watch in horror as that ugly monster deficates 40 pieces of manure. Kill it, and pick up the shi.. uh, I mean manure. ~~YOU WIN~~ (I think)

4. Perfect run

For this, you will need to choose Wickerbottom. Now do a teleportato speedrun, collecting as many gears as possible. Here's a guide http://dont-starve-game.wikia.com/wiki/Guides/Teleportato_Rush_Guide. Now, travel to the other world with all your gears. Select WX-78. Now, you start as a little upgraded WX-78! However, don't consume gears immediately, instead, eat them only when you're hungry. Make a science machine day one, a backpack, a spear, a logsuit, and a shovel. Destroy the science machine, and try to find two things: a place to settle (preferably a pig village close to rockyland or a savana) and more gears. Now you have enough gears for both the robot and other structures that require gears to craft.

Rather you realize for most of that you need to kill a MacTusk and for the rest you need an alchemy/science machine. You would also need 18 mushrooms for pig.

How Did You Know It Isnt Fake And Just Hacks

As a side note, if you manage to grab a Tam o' Shanter, quite a bit of Jerky, the materials for a whole bunch of Drying Racks, and pre-build the necessary base requirements (Alchemy Engine, Fire Pit, maybe a stack of Stone Walls, perhaps a Bird Cage), you'll have a wonderful start for Wolfgang (sanity hat to take care of all his sanity problems, and some Jerky to start him out while he makes more Jerky.)

For number three, if you want an instant 16 Manure and instant-death for the Werepig (The guaranteed 2 Meat and 1 Pig Skin can cost sanity when you fight him head on), you can gather 16 Red Mushrooms (Somewhat difficult) and because they each do 20 damage, and the Werepig has about 350 Health, you can kill him without even fighting. Also, as a side note, he drops just enough loot so that all you need to make a is the 4 Twigs and Alchemy Engine.
