Ah ok.

I'm not entirely sure I see a connection. A virus that isn't addon-related would have different issues than crashing when using a specific addon. A malicious addon could cause crashing while using it but I they're not that common anymore and I don't think I've ever seen one that causes a completely different addon to crash. The only addons I've seen that can 'cause a different addon to crash' are addons that have conflicts, usually a result of building your addon from someone else's addon without changing identifiers properly which is pretty darn common for the gmod workshop. There's quite a handful of people that have built addons from this or the miku append addon and forgot to or didn't quite yet know to change the names which means their reskin (as an example) will have the exact same file name resulting in an override.

What I mean is; do you have any additional models that may be by other authors? This model (somewhat unintentionally) became the base for a some people's other mods. They may take it and make Miku reskins or may use it to work on new anime models. Some of these people are new to the process and may miss a few things like changing the unique 'ID' listed in the lua file which can mean their addon overrides this one. If you have any additional addons listed as "Tda Hatsune Miku" anywhere either on the workshop page, in the player spawn menu, or really anywhere else, especially with this addon removed, you definitely have a conflict.

If there's absolutely no conflicts, check in your gmod's base folder for a crash dump (*.mdmp) file. If you load up the game, spawn the model, then wait for a crash, it should generate a new MDMP file I can look at.

Well I unsubbed from them since it does crash my game, I just use chromium normal gmod I don't pick 64 or 32 but since my processor is 64 I'm guessing it defaults to 64, I downloaded the whole miku setup when I got it.

The model causes crashing for you on the 64-bit branch?

On another note, if the model does cause crashing, do you have any other Miku mods downloaded?

I have the same issue btw

Okay now that's useful information. I guess the 64-bit branch uses DMP files instead of MDMP and handles a few things differently. I'm disappointed the DMP files don't have a console log. Anyway, it seems to crash for me as well on 64-bit, but only if spawned directly as an NPC, it doesn't crash if I spawn a citizen and put the model on it so I'm unsure if it's lua which would be really strange given how little of it there is.

Anyway, I sent Robotboy of Facepunch an email, I'm not sure if the 64-bit version requires an extra line of code or something like that but I suppose I'll find out.

when I start gmod it uses the 64 branch
