Project Strident is a project where i try to reproduce the Strident class heavy frigate from halo .

V6 is the LAST VERSION of the ship because i finaly figured out how to update creation .
this ship as a full interior and this make it the first ever Frigate with full interior in Space Engineers 2 !


My goal is to recreate it as best as possible and making it survival ready for when we get planet is survival and at the same time i try to push the limite of Vrage 3 engine by detailing it as much as possible to make this ship not just unique but one of a kind .

WARNING! the ship is 810K PCU so you need a mod to increase PCU or modifie it your self in the game files .
also the ship in demanding and i recommande 10GB dram mininmum and a mid levell CPU , preferably an AMD for stability .
for me it takes a good 3 minutes to lowd .

The current lenght of the ship is around 645 meters (2115 feet) end even with its huge amount of thrusters and gyroscope it shear weight make its slow , it says without sayng that the ship is not made for any kind of gravity but it powerfull enough to land on moon like gravity so around 0,16G will empty how ever take it slow becaues it will take time to slow down .
if you ever go to far and the below thrusters are not enough then use the rear thruster to try to escape the gravity .

The ship as 2 different cargo , the cargo on levell 0 (main hangar) as outside connector and is only ment for cargo transport , it is not connected to enything else , the second cargo is on levell 03 (crew quarters) is directly connected to every hangar and turrets as the main ship cargo , it dnst have outside connector but you can refuel or restock the ship using the hangar connectors .

The ship as techniquely 10 different levells but 2 are more sub levell .
The ship as anything from a gym room to a shooting range passing by cryo room , reactor , briefing room , mutiple storage , hangar , crew quarters , ...

I also have in project for the future to make an asteroid hangar for it with auto retracable docking colar and giant clamps that will hold the ship for the docking colar to be perfecly aligne .
and a moon landing platforme (last picture) .

The ship hangar is big anough to house 3 pelican but there is also a floor just to store fighters / small space craft and a never floor to store ground vehicule .
it also has a mining hangar bay to store a small mining ship in case you ran out of uranium for you reactors.

in termes of defences none are currently working but the ship as 48 turrets of all sizes , 12 PDCs , 1 big railgun , 6 missiles bays but will probably have more eventualy , 10 torpedo bays , 6 defence drones stored in there hangars .

the current version of the ship took me around 380h .

The Strident-class heavy frigate is a type of heavy frigate in service with the UNSC Navy , designated with the hull code FFG . Manufactured over Mars and Tribute by Aerofabrique SA , these frigates are used as both escort ships and swift-attack vessels. Outfitted with energy shielding and powerful weaponry, the Strident class represents one of the newest generations of warships within the Navy .

The Strident class fulfills a number of versatile roles in the UNSC Navy, from convoy escort to troop transport. The multi-purpose Strident-class heavy frigate most often fulfills escort and attack roles in the fleet. In attack roles, they rely on their speed and numbers to engage enemy capital ships. To compensate for their relative fragility, Strident-class frigates maneuver and attack as a synchronized group to minimize exposure to plasma fire.

Blurring the lines between frigate and destroyer, the lean and lethal Strident class is considered an invaluable asset to the Navy. Up to ten of these frigates can be stored in the internal hangars and docking clamps of UNSC Infinity.After an initial assault, they are deployed en masse to deliver a final, crushing blow and mopping up any stragglers in the process.

if you add warthog bays make em close to the main hanger, or in a area where you can drive the warthogs from the warthog bay to the hanger

hey i need to talk to you about a thing that needs to be added to yuor ship, warthog bays, simluar to the ones in halo ce on the last level, the maw, i can send screenshots of what im refering to if i can talk to you

UPDATE :

- reduced PCU by 9K
- improved outside look and armor
- removed every groups (made damage calculation 10X faster)
- reduce lowding times by around 10-15%
- improved the build stability
- changed some small inside detailed

note: once we get some kind of elevator system i will remove the rear stair and maintenance elevator be unecessary and could improve lowding , overall performances and PCU by a good amount .

- reworked QT drive room
- removed secondary main hangar control room (unnecessary)
- removed secondary main hangar control room hallway access (unnecessary)
- removed secondary crew quarters recreation room (unnecessary)
- changed access from printer control to fighter hangar
- added access from printer control to printer
- improved main hangar
- improved some inside and outside detaile
- improve lowding time ship stability and overhall performances
- reduce PCU by 11K

i still want to improve over rooms but i probably wont until the survival update (probably the 21 this month i hope)
i saved an unmodded version of the ship in case

because we dont have new blocks or feature until V2 the only thing i can do to improve the ship at this point is to improve the inside but even that i cant do much so i added mods because they improved greatly the look of the ship , i will ad more mods to it over time but only necessary mods like block variant , elevators , maybe turrets and hangar shield doors .
but like i sayed before i whant this ship to be as best as i can make it and seen the potential of SE2 mods its enavitable for anyone to use some .
if anyone have request or ideas of things to ad or improve regarding the ship please let me know .

I agree 100% with your statement of investing time into a single ship that you truly love. You can tell with this ship. Amazing work.

@ClassixDeets , i think you are CPU bound , i have a less than average modern pc : 32gb ddr4 3600mhz , RTX 2060 , ryzen 5 4650G and it take me about 3,30min to lowd the ship but i have at worst 45fps in 1080p low , to me the ship and the game combine is about 8 to 9gb usage
