Intro
This guide should help you get the elusive Leonardo daWindci achievement.

Remember, if you miss any brushes in a particular area, you CAN go back to that area to try again. Once you find the missing brushes, you can just exit out of the level, they will be saved...so hopefully you won't have to repeat too much of the level.

To do this, exit to the main menu, hit play and click your save file. From there, it will have pictures of various save points and below it will show the brushes you collected. Simply click the chapter you are missing brushes in and try to get them all. Brushes you had previously collected from those areas are still saved, so you only need to search for what you are missing.

On another note, a handful of levels are combined brush-wise. They probably wanted to give you a second chance to get brushes you missed while you're playing through. Just know that once you complete one section, it's partner section will say it's completed also.

You can also get the achievement between save files. Example: If you have say, the first half of the brushes found under your first save file, and the second half of brushes saved under your second file, you'll get the achievement.
Outer District: Morning Routine
1st Brush - Past the closed gate near the beginning, you will have to jump across objects in the water. Follow the path all the way to the right, jumping on ledges sticking out of a rock. There you will find your first floaty brush.

2nd Brush - In plain sight to the left of the octopus, but you'll have to go all the way around him to get it.

3rd Brush - After finishing up with the octos and going across some ropes, there will be a red bridge in front of you with a brush. Tap will mention a collector lives somewhere in Colortown.

4th Brush - After smashing through crates and hiting the jump pad, you should see a crazy citizen in a wizard hat shaking in front of you. Do a 180 and go to your left, follow that path up to another brush.

5th Brush - Once you see the banner for the race with the three colored citizens on it, stop and go to your right, follow the path all the way up. When you get to the end, look to your right again and you'll see ledges sticking out of the rooftops. Hop across them to get your next floaty brush.
Outer District: Working Hard
1st Brush - From your starting point, go straight and then hang a left through the square. Make another left at the tinker seed and follow that path. Smash the boxes to reveal a floaty brush.

2nd Brush - Before talking to Brik and entering his "Dojo". Follow the outer path, it will be on the left side, semi-hidden by a rock.

3rd Brush - After rescuing Biggs from the collapsed bridge, you'll enter the next area for your third shroom mission. As soon as you enter, go left across the red bridge. Hop along the rock ledges on the right to get your next brush.
Outer District: The Race
1st Brush - After the race is over, look behind Bolzo and the man in a top hat. There is a path that leads down to a floaty brush.
The Tower: Pictures / Lion's Den
It should be noted that there are a few checkpoints here, so if you do get caught by the guards and have made significant progress...you won't have to start over at the beginning of the room.

1st Brush - (The Tower: Pictures) There is a guard walking around in a tight circle around a fountain. When you come across this, it will be on your left, as there is only one way to enter without hitting the carpet. Follow him around the fountain and you will find the brush.

2nd Brush - (The Tower: Pictures) This one can be a pain. Once you've made it up to the gallery entrance, go to the right. There are a series of guards and poles with ledges...you'll have to work around these until you make it to the brush. It can be a little tricky since the ledges are hard to see. But once you get the brush, you can just have the guards catch you, you will appear at your last checkpoint, which will be at the gallery entrance. It's just easier doing that than working your way back around the guards.
Outer District: The Bleakness
1st Brush - Stop before using the cargo rail, do a 180 and look to your left, the brush is in plain sight but there are bleak fountains guarding it. There are also little bleak minions running around. It's ok if you die getting the brush, you'll just respawn at the tinker seed near the cargo rail.
Red District: Tension / Cooperation
1st Brush - Go straight. Go left past the rock where Tap mentions the symbols. Drop down onto the pipe and make your way towards the brush.

2nd Brush - After opening the gate, go left. You should see a sort of cave, smash the boxes and keep going, you'll get the floaty brush that the red kids are guarding.

3rd Brush - (AFTER GETTING RED SPIRIT) Once you've cleared the bleakness blocking the way, head through the arch and go to your left. There will be a big pile of boxes and barrels...blast your way to the brush.

4th Brush - (AFTER GETTING RED SPIRIT) Where Bomber first appears, there is a breakable wall nearby. Let him do what he does best and you've got another floaty brush.

5th Brush -(AFTER GETTING RED SPIRIT) Along the bombing trail, you'll come across an area with breakable walls on either side and one in front. Bombing the one on the right will reveal a brush.

6th Brush - (AFTER GETTING RED SPIRIT) - After you bomb the center wall in the area I just mentioned, you'll want to take a left up the ramp. There among the boxes is another floaty brush.
Red District: Spirits
1st Brush - At the beginning. Go left towards a pile of crates, it will be in the middle of them.

2nd Brush - After jumping across tentacles, it will be in plain sight under a small hut.

3rd Brush - Once you see a large amount of crates in the water, hop across the path on the right. You will see the brush, just be quick about it or you'll sink.

4th Brush - After the red spirit helps you, stop before you use the jump pad. Turn left and follow the path to another brush.

5th Brush - When you hop across the poles to fight the second group of shooters, it will be between the crates under the hut.
Market District: The Portal / The Slo-mo Thing / Last Hope
1st Brush - In the red section, there is a brush on top of a fountain. You can easily jump to it from the second floor.

2nd Brush - In a red citizen's boat in plain sight. There is a path directly to his boat from the red section.

3rd Brush - Green section, first floor. If you're facing the green section head on, the brush is located to the left, behind a large stack of barrels and crates.

4th Brush - (AFTER GREEN DISTRICT) Red section, top floor. The gate has a color-coded lock. I'm not sure if you /have to/ talk to the green dad before opening it...I always do, but you can try opening it on your own. I believe another TLT guide has the combo. This brush can only be accessed after you're done with the green district because you need the Green Spirit's powers, as well as Red's.
Green District: Infiltration
1st Brush - Head towards the center and check behind the bush at the bottom.

2nd Brush - This one is behind a bombable wall in plain sight. Pretty much right after you turn Biggs into Bomber.
Green District: Errand Boy
1st Brush - Go past the first set of gopher bombs, and take the path to the right. You'll have to make it past another set of bombs, but the brush will be waiting for you on the left.

2nd Brush - After lowering the second bridge with Biggs, take a right, go up the ramp and down onto a platform with the floaty brush.
Green District: Malfunction
1st Brush - As soon as you hit this area, go left around the crates. Go up the hill and to the right. Bam, another floaty brush.

2nd Brush - AND A SURVEILLANCE CAMERA?! ACHIEVEMENT - Go straight, but when jumping the crates and tentacles, go to the right. You'll head around a rock and have to do some tightrope walking. Once you reach the end of that path, go left doing your normal sprint/auto jumping. At the end of that path is a brush and an odd crate that appears to be talking...you should probably punch it...

3rd Brush - Okay, this one took me a while to find to be honest lol. The sneaky developers put it on top of one of the cargo rails. SO, after you fix the security machine and it stops trying to kill you, the good Doctor will give you a jump pad to get to the cargo rail.

Your first jump will be right, the next jump will be left...and when there are three rails, I believe it is on the farthest rail to the left. It might take a few tries, hopefully your reflexes are better than mine or you will die a few times trying to get it.
Green District: The Chase
1st Brush - When the green spirit enters his little panic room, go to the left of it. The brush is hidden between the wall and the trees. Hard to see.

2nd Brush - Behind bomber's pad.
Dreamworld: Scattered
1st Brush - Near the beginning. After all the jump pads, you'll come to a tunnel with a lot of bleak blocks. Power through those and the path forks into two. On the left is the brush.

2nd Brush - After defeating the big bleak slug, go backwards and find a rope. Climb twice and you should have another brush.

3rd Brush - Once the green spirit freezes time, knock out all the enemies and explore behind the thorn bushes.
Green District: New Friends
1st Brush - As soon as you come out, go to the right. There is a small path lined with thorny bushes, follow it to the end.

2nd Brush - To the right of the second pipe you shove Bomber in. There should be a couple of crystals behind it.

3rd Brush - After you're done letting the small child climb through enclosed spaces with an exploding mushroom man, you'll need Bomber's assistance once again. Go through the newly opened gate and head to the right. Let B-man do his thing and collect the brush behind the crate.

4th Brush - Past Brik's machine there are crates...punch through them to reveal a ledge leading to a floaty brush.

5th Brush - Head over to the tinker seed with Bomber to blow up the wall. Follow the winding path to get yet another valuable brush.
Green District: Detour
1st Brush - Defeat the bleak slug, then go on the bottom left path.

2nd Brush - From there, go straight across to the ropes, the brush is in plain sight.

3rd Brush - While using Biggs to smash through bleak webs, stop when you see some thorn bushes, as there is a floaty brush to the left of them.

4th Brush - Get to the highest point you can by going up a slope and across a couple green bridges. Once there, you should see a couple of green citizens talking about leaving for the marketplace, and then one who's closer to the brush will say "Leaving all this behind...actually sounds like an adventure!". From him, take a right until you find a green citizen who says "What's happening on the other side of this island?". There's a ledge to the left of him that drops down to reveal a brush.

5th Brush - There's a slope to the Doc's right that leads to a rope...lets climb it! Drop down the ledge, and for this brush, we'll hop along the ledges and tentacles to get it. Use the path on the right side of the octo...unless you want a challenge, then go left and see how that works out.

6th Brush - Now jump back onto the ledge and instead of climbing the rope, go to your right. There are ledges, poles and gears all leading to another brush.

7th Brush - It's actually to the left of Doc. You'll need to hop across some things to get to Bomber. Use him like you always do, and after he blows things up, there should be a brush on the other side waiting for you.
The Windmill: Hazards
1st Brush - Once you see the Colortown map, go to the right and follow the path.

2nd Brush - In front of you are two alternating rows of tentacles. Going forward and towards the left will lead you to the brush...might take a few tries, be careful with your timing.
The Windmill: High Point
1st Brush - From the entrance take a left up the ramp, and a left again up the rope. Follow the path along, but do not climb the next rope. Instead look to your left, there should be a floaty brush wedged between a cog and wall. You'll have to tuck and roll onto the platform.

2nd Brush - This one will sound weird...the big beam in the center has a drawer sticking out. There are multiple ways to get to the beam's first level so I'll leave that up to you. When you get there, you should see another rope that's longer than the one you're standing next to. Fall down to it, and you should be able to walk to the back of the drawer where the brush is. You'll have to get it before you continue upward, because the bleakness will follow you.

3rd Brush - The first tightrope you walk over to go outside will lead you to a dome. Fall to the dome. Break the boxes and find a brush hidden in the middle.
Blue District: Therapy / Color Matters
1st Brush - You know the drill, fight the big ugly bleak slug. Once that's over, 180 and head down the path to the right.

2nd Brush - After using Green's slo-mo technique and hopping across the crates, you'll hang a right and hop across more crates. These won't go under quick like the last set.

3rd Brush - You got rejected from the dome eh? Better go hop across those crates to the right. Fight what you need to, then go to that creepy spirit pedistal with all the colors on it. Get charged. Use Green's slo-mo and take the path to the left. Ignore the big purple enemy, he's not important. Go all the way up, swing across, and the rooftop to your left has a slope. Go over that slope and you just got another floaty brush.

4th Brush - When you come across a rope with two blue citizens on either side, go to your left. Through the narrow path between bleakness is another brush.

5th Brush - When you have Bomber and wake up the sleeping soldier, a little further ahead you'll see a breakable wall. Follow the path to the right of that wall.
Blue District: Pipes and Leaks / The Beast
There actually aren't any brushes in the Pipes and Leaks area, for some reason these two areas are combined...but both brushes are near the harbor o.O

1st Brush - (Blue District: The Beast) From starting point, go straight and hang a left past Brik's machine. Pass through a narrow gap between the big boxes and head right. You should see a pile of barrels, punch through them to get to your brush.

2nd Brush - (Blue District: The Beast) From starting point, head right. Now go straight a bit, and turn right at the second cross-beam. Break the barrels here as well to get the brush.

HEY, WAKE UP! ACHIEVEMENT - Don't forget to shoot the moon while manning the cannon. He should be up in the sky (obviously) to the right. A couple shots ought to do it. If you miss it the first time you complete the level, don't worry! You can enter the level again to shoot him and it will count.
Blue District: Eva
1st Brush - After going down the slope and fighting the bleak monsters, you'll want to head back towards the slope you came down, but take a left. Follow that path to gain another floaty brush.

2nd Brush - You should see a wide open area with bleak enemies that have turned blue. Head straight to the back, once you can't go any further, turn right. You should see a stack of barrels, bust through them for your next brush.

3rd Brush - After you see Bomber crying, take him to the bombable wall on your left. Guess what's behind it?
Blue Creek: Noir
This whole area can get very confusing, but I'll lead you through it the best I can.

1st Brush - Before talking to the Admiral and going through the gate, head to your right. There is a path that will lead you straight to a floaty brush,

2nd Brush - When you find the gardener, go past him to the left and find your brush. If you're having trouble finding him, look for a sleeping blue citizen and a tinker seed close by. When you find those, head up the path to the left.

3rd Brush - After you've talked to the suspects and the Admiral again, you'll have to follow some footprints. Once they lead you to the cave, the brush is on the left side, buried under some bleak matter. You'll have to get Biggs to move over there and slap him with some blue color to see it.

4th Brush - After confronting the criminal, you'll be granted access to the caves. Before you go in, let Biggs follow you to the right of the cave entrance. Hit him with some blue power and you'll find the last brush in this area.
The Caves: Line Up / Orchestra
1st Brush - From the starting point...just turn around and look behind you! Behold! Another floaty brush!

2nd Brush - You'll see a blue citizen that you need to talk to, go staight up and to the right of him until you find a crystal on the ground. Punch through it to recieve your next brush.

3rd Brush - Look straight on at the tinker seed behind the Conductor. Now go to the right of it. Behind the bushes is another floaty brush...though it's rather hard to see.

4th Brush - If you stand on the Conductor's pad and look to the right, you can see this brush mocking you in the distance. Well, drop off of that pad and head to the right of the orchestra. There will be a hidden path to the right before you hit the tinker seed. Go to the left of the crystals and follow the slope up to the next brush.

5th Brush - Finally an easy one! This one is directly behind the orchestra on the ground floor.

The Caves: Rhythm
1st Brush - After hopping across your first boat onto dry land, check your left. There's a brush down a slope, but the water rises with the beat so be careful.

YOUR HIGHNESS ACHIEVEMENT - On the first set of turtles, you'll notice to the left is a ledge with a rope, but no obvious way to get over to it. There's an invisable boat moving back and forth, you'll have to hop on a turtle and try to auto jump in the direction of the rope. Only one of the turtles is in sync with the boat's timing. I CAN NOT take credit for this, as it was in another guide.

2nd Brush - You'll come across a tinker seed, followed by some bleak enemies, butterflies and a "maze" of plants. Head to your right, and then turn to your left to see yet another floaty brush.

3rd Brush - You'll see a cluster of turtles moving with...dare I say...rhythm...Hop along straight three times and your third turtle will move at every other beat. When he's close to the ledge on the left, hop up there to get your last brush of the area.
The Caves: Melody
1st Brush - After opening the first door by creating a beautiful mushroom ballad, you'll want to knock out some enemies. Once that's done, look for a tiny opening on the right between the rocks. There are some thorny bushes to the right of the entrance. If you went past the light pole you're too far.

2nd Brush - Look straight ahead at the giant owl, there is a brush hidden to the far left of him behind some rocks.
Other Achievements and Tips
(In case you missed it above)
A SURVEILLANCE CAMERA?! - (Green District: Malfunction) Go straight, but when jumping the crates and tentacles, go to the right. You'll head around a rock and have to do some tightrope walking. Once you reach the end of that path, go left doing your normal sprint/auto jumping. At the end of that path is a brush and an odd crate that appears to be talking...you should probably punch it...

TO INFINITY! - (Market District: The Slo-mo Thing) After you complete the green district and end up back at the marketplace, head towards the blue section. You should see a green citizen hopping on top of a large fountain. Hit him with some color to send him flying. I CAN NOT take credit for this, as it was in another guide.

SHOPAHOLIC - Even if you beat the game, you can time travel back through chapters to pick up more gems. The gems will be saved to you, period, so if you can't find Brik's machine, just travel back to the market district to use that one. All the gems will follow you there.

Colorizing bleaked-out citizens also gives you gems, so do this whenever you can.

(In case you missed it above)
YOUR HIGHNESS - (The Caves: Rhythm) On the first set of turtles, you'll notice to the left is a ledge with a rope, but no obvious way to get over to it. There's an invisable boat moving back and forth, you'll have to hop on a turtle and try to auto jump in the direction of the rope. Only one of the turtles is in sync with the boat's timing. I CAN NOT take credit for this, as it was in another guide.

PSYCHEDELIC - (Market District) Go to Rob Boss in the blue section of the market district. Hopefully you'll have enough brushes...but switch on mirrored world, color swap and small head. I CAN NOT take credit for this, as it was in another guide.

TINKER MUSIC - (The Caves: Orchestra) A few things with this one:

- They always play the same score, so you could try memorizing or writing down the pattern to make it easier on yourself

- If you're playing with a keyboard, keep repeating to yourself "Green forward, blue backward". Yes, you will feel silly, but honestly the switches between green to blue and blue to green are where I get screwed up.

- Take it slow. Look before you press buttons. You have a bit of leway before the band starts their tantrum if you're taking too long between shots.

- If you mess up and are really wanting that achievement, just exit out of that level and go back into it.

I tried shooting the wrong colors to get them to stop playing and they did. I thought if I did it perfect on the next try I would get the achievement...nope. Exit out of the level and start again. It has to be perfect on your first try.

NOT FORGOTTEN (In Dreamworld: Memories) - For this you have to color in pictures of Purple using "f" in his dreamscape. I CAN NOT take credit for this, as it was in another guide.

1st Picture - To the right of Purple behind some boxes. I believe you can paint this either before or after talking to him.

2nd Picture - You'll be seeing the citizens of Colortown talking. When you get to a red citizen that says "Hey, which color is best?" stop. Go to your right, there will be a ledge. Hop across to find Purple's picture and color it in.

3rd Picture - Right after the 2nd picture and jump pad afterwards, there's a Tinker Flower where you land and all three spirits come out to say something. The picture is behind a rock near Blue. (Thank you alphabetsoup!!)

4th Picture - You're going to climb a LOT of ropes. When you finally see Brik and Bolzo arguing, step to the right, outside of the red wall. Fall to the nearest ledge. Fall to the next ledge. When you're at the bottom ledge with a blue wall to your left, go right. Hidden under the shadows of a ledge is another picture.

5th Picture - After talking to Purple again, you'll jump through the districts. When you get to blue, stop. Go to your right, behind the statue of the old admiral is another picture of Purple.

That /should/ be all of the pictures, if I have made an error please let me know.

TIPS

- You can still collect gems from barrels, crates and bottles that you've previously hit. Punch everything you can.

- When fighting bleak slugs that shoot out enemies, it's quicker to fight them as they're being shot out. In other words, you don't have to wait until all the enemies are on the field of battle to start beating them.

- The bleak monster with crystals on his shoulders is weak to the color his crystals are not showing. So, if he has blue and green...hit him with red and so on. It should take three seperate hits for him to become dizzy.

- Why collect brushes? Talk to Rob Boss (lol) in the blue area of the market district, he collects them. The more brushes you collect, the more amazing concept art you'll get to see. Not only that, but he has some silly unlockables for you too! I have to say, it's worth collecting all of them just for God Mode...so SO helpful during the last chapters. And of course the most obvious reason for collecting them is the achievement.
Closing
I really can't say enough good things about this game. I absolutely love it and I had a blast looking for all of the floaty brushes. I will miss interacting with all of the wonderful characters and exploring the beautiful environments. The music will be stuck in my head for a while though lol.

A big shout out to the other guides for helping me with my own achievements!

And thank you to Mimimi Productions and Daedalic Entertainment for this awesome game! I hope to see more titles from you in the future :3

I cant seem to get the Tinker music achivement. I have moved past that area in the story and I am using the chapter select picking the orchestra chapter run directly to the conductor and get two sets of dialogue before starting the minigame.
Even when i do this without the maker on the bar at the top moving do i get the achivement.
Can I not do it from the chapter select? Does some other criteria than just "don't let the marker at the top move" exist? What exactly fails this achivement? What counts as not making any mistake?
Does the game difficulty somehow efffect this achivement?

Very good guide, thank you! Just one comment: To get the Hey, wake up! -Achievment you have to shoot at the moon in "Blue Distritct: Pipes and Leaks/ The Beast" with the big cannon. Aim a bit above the moon and you should be able to hit it.

TINKER MUSIC is realy hard. There are some sections where the Orchestra plays false notes when you didn't hit the right color immediately. Because of this i got the achievement the 4th time i got all colors right

Thanks for the guide. Without it I missed one brush and one picture.

For the second brush in Dreamworld-Scattered, is mention that it's after the second bleak slug since there are two after the first one.

Otherwise, great guide! :)

Great guide, one small comment regarding "YOUR HIGHNESS": The boat is not fully invisible(circled), if you stand on the island I marked with an X you can wait and see which turtle it's coming to and pick that one. https://puu.sh/m0tMH/9f1f8396da.jpg
