【World Map】Columbus’ Imagination (TSL and Custom Start Position)

A massive 140*88 map that allows Columbus to reach Japan directly in a merged Afro-Eurasian world.

Since many have created world maps that are widely available, I decided to create something different.

What if Columbus's astonishing voyage had not landed in Central America but instead reached his desired destination, Japan in the East? What if ships sailed not through the Caribbean Islands but among the islands of New Guinea? And what if, upon arriving at new shores, European settlers faced not the less advanced indigenous peoples of the Americas, but China? In which direction would the history of the world have developed then?

Presenting the Afro-Eurasian Great Map - Columbus’ Imagination! This map uses an enormous canvas of 140*88, making it 1/3 larger than the original huge map. It provides ample space for both the eastern and western coasts of the Eurasian continent with numerous details while leaving enough room for most civilizations to thrive realistically.

One of the strengths of this map is its geographical coordination, slightly enlarging Europe and the Korean Peninsula, moderately increasing the size of Eastern China and Southeast Asia, and reducing the Sahara Desert, the Arabian Peninsula, and Siberia, while also opening up the Arctic passage!

Geographical details are emphasized, such as the Heihe River and Juyan Lake in the Hexi Corridor, the Three Parallel Rivers in Yunnan, the grand mountain ranges extending from the Onion Range, oases in Central Asia, the internal structure of the Iranian Plateau, scattered islands in Southeast Asia, and rivers crisscrossing from Eastern Europe all the way to Sakhalin Island - If you're looking for scenery crafting and historical geographic immersion, we hope this map meets your needs.

Support for Custom Start Position has been added, similar to the Silk Road map, combining default realistic spawn points with flexible Custom Start Positions , a system that will further expand to other excellent maps in the workshop.

Besides map size, operational efficiency is also important. Together with the support for Custom Start Position, they has collected over 160 likes, updating the "Columbus‘ Imagination" map with a size of 106*66.
