Magic Mod is a mod that adds variety to the game through many new mechanics and systems related to magic. The focus of the mod is on mages who use mana — a special resource for casting spells. Mana gradually regenerates but depends on the mage’s power, and without it, magic use becomes impossible.

Each mage has a magic power stat that determines the effectiveness and strength of their spells. The stronger the mage, the more powerful their abilities: they deal more damage and have stronger effects. This parameter makes progress in magic an important part of the game.

Souls play an important role in the mod — mystical energy fragments that can be stored in special items called Soul Stones. Souls come in different sizes and strengths, and some spells directly consume them to activate. Managing souls and stones is key to effective magic use and tactical advantage.

Learning new spells happens through special books, during which mages absorb knowledge visualized as a stream of runes. After learning, spells become available for assignment to the character’s limbs. For this, the Spell Assignment Menu must be used.

The process of casting magic is diverse: some spells need to be held down, others activate instantly. For convenience, players are offered a special activation button that allows casting spells without losing control of objects in their hands. Spell effects include damage, healing, teleportation, buffs, and debuffs.

Additionally, Magic Mod has settings, one of which is automatic learning of all spells. Hidden secrets in official maps allow unlocking secret items. This mod opens wide possibilities for creativity and experimentation with magic. We REALLY put a lot of effort into it.


This section is dedicated to updates that were released and their publication dates!

1.0 Release
This is the release of this mod. The most basic systems were added (mana, spells), as well as the very first 4 spells (Fire Ball, Ice Spike, Lightning Bolt, Rock Shot). Two mages and a single Mana regeneration potion were also added.

1.1 Souls Update
This is the first update related to souls. Two spells related to them were added, along with the Necromancer, Soul Stone, three new potions, and an unfinished Soul System. Also, many small features were added that are not very noticeable.

1.2 Simple Spells and Potions Update
An update that added 7 new simple spells and many different potions. It also introduced a lot of useful mod settings in the MPW Settings Menu.

1.3 Random Spells Update
An update that was originally meant to be Souls Update 2, but was postponed and released as a standalone update. It added many spells of various elements, 4 new mage entities, new books, as well as unfinished new items related to Souls. This update also introduced even more useful settings, fixed many bugs, and included a lot of minor additions.

1.4 Souls Update 2
Another soul-related update — once again unfinished. This is the biggest update ever released. A huge number of soul-related spells were added. Entities were completely reworked and many new ones were introduced. A LOT of small useful features and various accessories were also added.

Bug fixes and three new settings. Some secrets were also fixed, and one new secret was added.


Why spells don't work?
Most likely you didn't assign the spell to the right limb. To do this you need:
1. Open the spell assignment menu ("Spell assignment" button in the context menu of any limb)
2. Select a limb.
3. Choose the spell you want to assign to this limb.

What is Special Activation or SA? Why is the assigned spell not being cast?
Special Activation (SA) - is an activation that is activated by default on the "H" button and is separate from the normal game activation. It is designed to activate 1 object under the cursor or several selected ones. Spells are cast using SA. The MPW library adds it, so you MUST subscribe to it.

Why doesn't the menu work for me?
If you are already subscribed and have enabled MPW library, then re-subscribe to the library (so that it is updated for sure), restart the game and wait a few seconds after compiling all the mods. After that, most likely everything will work for you.

Why is the mod suspicious?
Mod uses OpenURL for links and System.Reflection and work with the MPW library.

would be nice if there was button for alternative activation so you could assign two spells on a single limb and activate them with different buttons. some defensive spells like ice barriers would be also cool

love the mod but for some reason the souls wont enter the crystals at all or still being attached to somebody it wont go back in them either
