The 31st of may 2013 was a significant day in storm chasing history. it set many records on that day. it was the first tornado to kill a chaser- multiple chasers- and it produced the biggest tornado we have seen. 3 of the chasers killed, were people in the Twistex team. They were driving a Chevrolet Cobalt, but unfortunately could not escape the El Reno tornadoes path. They were hit by a sub vortex and all 3 of the people in the Cobalt were killed.

The storm chasing community will forever remember Twistex. If it wasn't for them, warning times would not be as fast as they are now, and a lot more people would be killed in tornadoes like El Reno.

Tim, Paul and Carl, your legacy will stay with the community forever.
