Youtube Videos I've Used to Learn Soldier
By Rat Dad
Before beginning this guide, I want to say I do not own any of these youtube videos, please consider checking out the original creators and their videos which I'll be linking down below, as these are all videos which I've used to help me improve as a soldier player throughout my time playing. I hope that these videos can be useful to people.

I. Soldier Series by scarybroccoli

I'd like to add that this fourth video literally SAVED ME as a soldier main. PLEASE everyone DO NOT SLEEP on the shotguns as a secondary as soldier!! The panic attack or stock shotgun will save your life in so many situations, at least it has for me.

II. Both Parts of Nate Fox's Rocket Jumping Series
Pretty self-explanatory, gotta learn to jump before ya fly soldier.

III. Soundsmith's How to Trolldier Series (but mainly these vids)

Just wanna say beforehand, my style of play is somewhat hybrid-trolldier, but I also recommend getting used to the escape plan as a melee, as it can be very useful in many scenarios when you're low on health and in a bad situation.

IV. The Art of Series by S TF2 Guides

This one is pretty self-explanatory as well, dive bombing is very effective in not only pubs, but competitive play as well.

A well-timed kritz can be absolutely devastating to an enemy team trying to push the objective, I think it's important for every soldier main, as a generalist damage class, to know how to effectively attack using the kritzkrieg.

V. Soundsmith's Mann's Guide to the Beggar's Bazooka
VI. Competitive 6s Series by S TF2 Guides
This is more of a general video, but helped me start to familiarize myself with what soldier's role is from a competitive standpoint.

VII. Best of Jayhyunpae (both parts)
I found that studying different great competitive soldiers, such as jay, blaze, and even b4nny (who isn't considered a soldier main, but is still very good on soldier), allowed me to become more aggressive with some of my plays and take more risks as a roaming soldier. While it's good to play your life, sometimes going in for the big medic pick or huge dive plays can save the game. Studying high level competitive play like this can be really effective when trying to develop on an individual class, or even gain a better understanding of how to counter specific classes as a certain class.

VIII. Map 1 R1 Blaze POV in The RGL S5 Grandfinal (Froyotech vs GCI)
IX. Beginner Soldier Tutorial by S TF2 Guides
If you've literally never played soldier before, I recommend checking out this video.

X. Videos About The Original
The original is definitely my launcher of choice after 250 hours, which is why I'm going to recommend a few videos which I watched to learn more about the original, and really just the videos which got me to start using the original.

i hope your guides will get some recognition, sadly most of the time nowadays the joke guides are the ones that people actually look into, dont get discouraged tho and keep making stuff. if you want you can add me, maybe i can help with your future projects or we can play tf2 together:steamthumbsup:

indeed trying, idk if i'm succeeding but hey if someone finds this guide helpful then that would be great. might even write an actual in-depth guide using some of this information in the future, would take some time tho lol

me when a new tf2 guide is actually trying to be helpful to newer players instead of just being a joke:p2cube:
