S.S. Elyson [Sinkable]

Description

History
(Fictional)

She was ordered in 1904 by the Aleas Travelling lines and built by the GS&L shipyards in the port of South Guarder. After a year of construction she was finally delivered to ATL and the next week she was sent into service between the port of South Guarder and the flatlands of Kea.
After a month of service her captain was promoted to a bigger ship and Elyson was left with her old crew but a new captain which would lead to her demise a week later.
Sinking
On her faithful day she departed from the Island of Hill to the Port of Kea, on her way there her captain went dining with the passengers. He unknowingly left her on a collision course with a sandbank. As one of passengers left the dining room and walked on the deck he saw that the ship was headed for a tall sandbank and he quickly informed the captain but captain Mr. Monk Monke dismissed his warnings. When the ship rammed the sandbank a minute later her bow was beached at first but as she slid back into the water she rolled. As she listed it was too late for anyone in the Engine room to escape the sinking ship. Testimonies say that a brave passenger released the lifeboat to save others as she sank rapidly by the stern. After an hour of waiting passengers were finnaly loaded on the tug Lil´ Toot and arrived at their intented destination.
Recovery
In the following days two tugs and two crane barges were sent to the site to recover Elyson and beach her near the sandbank that sank her. After being succesfuly beached on the sandbank a desition was made to cut her stern of due to the dammage sustained by the boiler explosion when she sank. A week later her stern was cut of with the bow being sent to South Guarder to be connected with a new stern and sent back into service but that plan never happened and the bow of Elyson now sits on a beach near the port, rusting.
