Protagonist Origins

Description
An origin mod for the Arena Mode that adds in several new origins, based off of those from Story Mode / Madness Combat. Intended to align with their respective characters, but also remain a degree separated, allowing you to build your own character over it.

If you want to play this mod without the imprint requirements, then check out this version!

There are currently three origins, and their stats are listed below.

The Protagonist.
Imprints required: 3

One day at the park, you got into a fight. Where most people found fighting difficult, you found it fun, natural, even. Over time you continued fighting, and this caused everything around you to spiral rapidly out of control. Now, with legions of enemies lining up to fight you...

You can't be more happy to oblige them.

[SPECIAL] Once you have the Improvised Weapon skill, its effects apply to ALL melee weapons... so long as you can hold them In one hand.
[SPECIAL] Your grenade slot weapons (daggers, javelines, etc.) pass through targets when they lose a corpus, hitting anyone beyond them.
Plus, once you have the Lawnmower skill, it will apply to all weapons you throw!

[+] You do what comes natural.
All Damage + 50%
[+] You're a bit more than resilient.

[SPECIAL] The essence of fallen opponents will sometimes return from death to aid you in battle. You'll also steal the essence of dizzied enemies to recover lost corpus blocks!

[+] You've become adept at wielding the weapons of fallen leaders.
Slashing Damage + 75%
[+] You bring your hirelings back to life with the great power you wield.
Hireling Recovery Time -100%

The Clown
Imprints required: 5

Long ago, you were involved with a device known as the Portable Improbability Drive. Ever since you started using it's power, you started changing... You began to love and embrace the madness of Nevada, willing to become one with it's strange and improbable nature, thinning the barrier between worlds.

Whoever you were before doesn't matter now. Now, you're the Clown.

[SPECIAL] Once you have the Positioning skill, you'll teleport the distance between you and your target while wielding a melee weapon.
[SPECIAL] Opponents startled by your takedowns and gruesome kills don't just react with surprise...they'll take off running!

[+] All of that Improbability has made you jumpy.

But the hireling debuff is getting slightly changed, from being a static -15 to a percentage based -75%. Might add in another debuff to affect hirelings? But I'm undecided as of right now

I did originally want to do that, but it isn't one of the preset buff types, and I'm not sure how I'd implement that without just modifying the actual lua of the game. Probably could be done if I really wanted to? Just might be a bit inconvenient.

I think The Protagonists debuff should reduce the max hireling capacity, rather than max hireling level.

I was actually considering them, but was having difficulty figuring what they could have that would make them unique. Maybe Sanford is stronger with explosive weapons, and a melee focus, and Deimos is stronger with Shock and has a ranged focus? I think that'd make for an interesting play style

Could you also do Deimos and Sanford? I was just curious if you were thinking about it :P

Oh wait, If I made them that big, they might not be able to fit through doors...

A Mag agent could be cool, I'm just worried it might turn out a bit too similar to the Massive. Could work, though, since IIRC the AAHW Mag is MUCH bigger than the Massive ever gets.

I'd say trying to make some form of Mag agent would be cool, or a Half Mag Hank

Add the sun from MC3 lol
