Description
Play as Comissioner Pravin Lal, leader of The Peacekeeping Forces, from Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri.

This mod is for BE: Vanilla. A version for Rising Tide can be found HERE

Trait
Specialists Yield +1 of their respective yields
Cooperation Agreements and Alliances earn all parties +5% food and culture (bonus stacks for the peacekeepers)
Denouncements against the Peacekeeprs from healthier empires cause -5% production (this also stacks).

The Peacekeepers are a diplomacy focused faction who thrive from partnerships. Their independent-minded citizens have room to excel but are quick to disapprove of their government during times of trouble.

History
_________________________
initial upload (v1):
- Specialists of the U.N. Peacekeeping Forces earn +1 of their respective yields (traders produce +3 energy rather than +2, etc.)
- Forging a cooperationg agreement or an alliance will earn you and your partners +5% food and culture in all your cities. This can stack to a maximum of +35% for peacekeepers, but only +5% for their partners.
- When denounced by an empire with more health, the peacekeepers suffer -5% production. This can stack up to -35% production if the peacekeepers are not careful enough with their health and relationships.
_________________________
update (v2) :
- Both the bonus from cooperation agreements and the penalty from denouncements cap at 25% (was 35%)
- New civilopedia entries for faction and leader
- Leaderscene more specific to the faction
- New loading intros including one from the excellent "Journey to Centauri" by Mike Ely and "GURPS Alpha Centauri" supplement by Jon F. Zeigler
_________________________
update (v3):
- Adjusted trait to be less strong for AI, who frequently can earn more Coop agreements than human players.
- Civilopedia no longer displays dummy entries such as trait buildings
- Re-added missing art assets
_________________________
update (v4):
- Updated to winter patch
_________________________
update (v5):
- Recoded trait to be a little more optimized and responsive
- Added support for Social Engineering
_________________________
Planned future changes: .
- Implement trait as an invisible building rather than the many current, very visible buildings.
- Balance changes as more factions are developed and feedback is received.

Known Issues

There's a serious issue that affects many sponsor mods with custom leaderscenes. The mods can cause the game to crash to desktop when used in conjunction with the default civs. A current fix is to play the game with the leaderscenes set to minimum. In the meantime, modders are investigating a proper fix. You can do your part by notifying Firaxis of this widespread issue.

You really need to stop with the sponsors that have negative modifiers

I have an compilation version hosted on CivFanatics at: http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=23500

I do not have alternate download links for the individual mods.

It really needs some tweaking to better charecterise the typical UN uselessness.

They're from a pre-established universe, their leader is Indian, and he's a surgeon serving aboard a UN colonisation mission. The middle east has nothing to do with this faction.
