Hide Names

Description
Hide Names
A minimalist immersion mod that hides floating names over all humanoids for all players in the game – leaving only the world, your instincts, and unanswered questions.

➤ Features
This mod removes floating widgets from all players, NPCs and Thralls in the game. It includes Character Name, Player Name (Funcom ID), Thrall AI State.
Healtbars and status effects are still visible normally.
It’s ideal for immersive, hardcore, or cinematic playthroughs where we want to get rid of bloat in the UI.

➤ Planned Features
  • Optional mode to replace names with "Stranger" or random tags
  • Configuration menu for admin only to toggle visibility of choosen elements

➤ Compatibility
  • ✅ Multiplayer
  • ✅ Singleplayer
  • ✅ Works on all maps
  • ✅ Works with all mods
  • ✅ No load order
  • ✅ Will work forever

➤ Known Issues
  • Floating widget may briefly reappear in certain situations (e.g., on respawn)
  • No menu yet – coming in a future update

@saph0704 - This mod removes floating widgets from all players, NPCs and Thralls in the game. It includes Character Name, Player Name (Funcom ID), Thrall AI State.

It does not make any entity nameless. It just removes the flying text above all humanoids heads.

Oh, a better question, we can still see thrall names in their inventory menu?

Darn, thanks.

@saph0704 - To join any Conan Exiles dedicated server, both your game client and the remote server must have exactly the same mods applied in the same load order.

I was afraid that I was unclear in my questioning. If a server doesn't have this mod, can I join that server if I do?

@saph0704 - You can use this mod both on singleplayer and multiplayer. There are no restrictions and compatibility issues. However it is intended for multiplayer, because it is forcing everyone to not see any names.

On the single player when you play without other players, you can use features already built-in the game for your own immersion. For example you can press "ALT + Z" to hide interface completely. You can also go to Settings -> Gameplay -> Uncheck the tickbox "Show Name Plates".

Is this client-side? Like, can I have this on a server if not on the servermodlist?

@Nong Jinsun - Thanks for responding so promptly! That already helps a lot! But when your mod comes out I'll be there \o/

@Tefias - You can control healthbars trough the Server Settings. Go to the General section, find "Healthbar visibility distance" and set it to 0. This will hide healthbars for all players in the game.

To see healthbars on the side of the screen use this mod made by Xevyr: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2957239090

Regarding the names of anything, as it stands in the Planned Features:
Configuration menu for admin only to toggle visibility of choosen elements. It will involve things like names.
