I'll do my best to make it happen, mate.
Howdy. While I agree that what you say makes sense, I tried to be "somewhat" faithful to the original games. To make it more clear...
M2 Carbine:
- Not present in any VC game (VC, VC:FA, VC2)
- As such, not present in my Fist Alpha campaign
- Added mid-game to my Vietcong campaign for balance
M16:
- Not present in the Vietcong: Fist Alpha game
- As such, not present in my Fist Alpha campaign
- It's first canon appearance is in the "Brush and Sweep" mission in the Vietcong game
- As such, added in Mission 7 in my Vietcong campaign
The developers justified this decision with poor logistics.
I decided to stay true to that logic in Fist Alpha, to offer a different kind of experience to the player.
And to be fair, when I'll make Vietcong 2, it will be a total gunfest.
Yes, that makes sense. You basically rewritten my mission and in doing so, you removed the 3den features.
Add me to your friend list, I'll DM you about the voice lines.
Also, I noticed that in your mission, besides the scripted dialogue from your code, the normal voice communications between characters (such as team members talking to each other) seem to have been removed. Even after I added the artillery support module from the Vietnam DLC, the built-in voice lines for requesting support were missing as well.
I'm curious, what code did you use to achieve this? I would like to learn how to do it.
I figured out what happened. I edited your mission without loading the "3den Enhanced" mod, adding the artillery support module from the Vietnam DLC (I thought a little bit of "cheating" would make the single-player mission more interesting), and then saved the mission. This caused the issues I described earlier. Later, I loaded the "3den Enhanced" mod and re-saved the mission, and the problems were resolved.
So thank you for your reply — you were right, the "3den Enhanced" mod does not cause any dependency issues. Sorry for wasting your time.
Btw, were you using some other mods which are not required items or in my collection of mods?
This is very strange, I haven't seen this problem before and I playtested every mission (including their COOP version) without 3den activated. But since this happened in your case, it may happen to other people as well. Just to be sure, I will add it as a dependency.
Thank you for telling me and have a good day!
The issue I encountered is that if I don't load the "3den Enhanced" mod, the option to drag the pilot does not appear after encountering him in the first mission. Once the mod is loaded, the option becomes available. Additionally, there are problems with character animations not playing correctly. Of course, this might just be an issue on my end.
