Introduction to R&D History：
The Taishan-type Hydraulic Transmission Diesel Locomotive was jointly developed by Jinan Locomotive Works and Dalian Locomotive Works, with the locomotive completed in 1989. It is equipped with a 12V190ZB diesel engine delivering a rated power of 1,080 horsepower. In the 1990s, the Ministry of Railways standardized the classification of industrial and mining diesel locomotives into two categories: hydraulic transmission (coded as GK, CK, JMY, NY) and electric transmission (coded as GKD, CKD, JMD, ND). Consequently, the Taishan-type locomotive was designated as GK1G.
