This is an expansion mod for Scientific Projects that add Power-related projects to the game.

Water Wheel
These upgrades apply to all Water Wheels in the game (Small, Regular, and Large).

- Gentle Mist Flow / Steady Mist Surge: Gradually increases power output throughout the day.
- Concentrated Mist Dynamo: Permanently boosts power output all day.
- Thermal Flow Stabilizer: Ensures minimum power output even with no current as long as there is water.
- Steam-Charged Boost: Further increases the minimum power output.

Power Wheels
These upgrades apply to all Power Wheels in the game (Folktails and Iron Teeth).
- Gearshift Labor Sync (Iron Teeth only): Reduces the number of workers for Large Power Wheels.
- Bot-Integrated Axles: Enables Bots to operate Power Wheels.

Windmill
These upgrades are for Folktails and apply to all Windmills in the game (Regular and Large).
- High-Altitude Gust Harness: Boosts Windmill power based on height (count at the top of the Windmill).
- Compact Wind Sails: Windmills now only occupy 1x1 instead of a 3x3 area (meaning you can build them right next to each other).

Surplus Power
- Power Flux Thinkatron: Converts unused power into science points. Batteries are not affected (it can still accumulate storage as usual) and do not affect any calculation of this project.

Note: a few of the upgrades have "[Reload needed]" tags which means after purchasing, you need to make a save, then just load that save again to take effect. There will be a message box showing when purchasing to remind you.

This mod gives you the Scientific Projects dialog, accessible via the top-left Science button or a rebindable hotkey (default Y).

How do you open the upgrade menu again??

Pretty sure I'd need some code for the things I want to do.

Such as having the water wheel detect if there is a metal floor below it to increase its power by 5% for increased speed of water.

Its too bad we can't add actual upgrades, like research metal connections for it, then all new water wheels cost some metal to build while the old ones have an upgrade button to gain the new benefits of 15% more maximum power (not 15% power always, just a higher maximum)

With various other upgrades like that, that would cost you to add to old buildings and modify all new buildings.

I think someone is attempting to make a balance mod for these mods. You can also make one without any code. See the guide on the base mod.

I think these are way overpowered. xD

Producing power while no flow is ridiculous for one, and its so op too. Researching all of them, it basically runs on magic.

Shrinking the turbines would generate far less power as well in reality. I wouldn't even consider researching that one.

As per the one thing I would use in this, the worker reduction on the manual power wheels. However it should be a thing to be researched twice, removing one worker each. No bots, because that would be silly.

Just my opinions on these in particular.

I bought the upgrade, reloaded the game, built a power wheel, click and crash. Will I have to reload EVERY time I build a new power wheel? ouch.

That's weird... I tested it, kept the Workers at 4, then buy the upgrade, then reload, then click it. While loading, you should see in the Player.log file that the building evicts 2 Workers.

Timberborn really DOES NOT like it when you click on a power wheel after setting up Gearshift Labor Sync, if you forget to reduce the max worker count to 2 before it finishes.

v7.2.2: Fixed a crash caused by Gearshift Labor Sync.

Fun fact: the crash only happened when you finished the Power Wheel while selecting it.
