Enter The Dragon - Grand Cathay Re-Balance Mod

Description
This is just a fun mod I made to spice up my Cathay campaigns. It's mostly a re-balancing and tweaking of unit stats with some additional reworking of characters like the Alchemist and Astromancer.

Full list of changes below.

Bear in mind some of the Character changes will be reflected in the Abilities and Items sections.

1) Lords:

- Celestial General: +20 Charge Bonus on Celestial Lion to 85.

- Zhao Ming: +10 Base WS in human form. +20 AP WS in human form. +Flaming Attacks in Human Form. +Armor Sundering Attacks in human form. +Flaming Attacks in Dragon Form. +Collision Attacks in Dragon Form. The Cathay Dragons have animation issues that cause them to miss their hits relative to their stats. Collision Attacks help mitigate that issue.

- Miao Ying: +10 Base WS in human form. +20 AP WS in human form. +Collision Attacks in Dragon Form. The Cathay Dragons have animation issues that cause them to miss their hits relative to their stats. Collision Attacks help mitigate that issue. +2 Bound uses of Urannon’s Thunderbolt. I find it strange that much is made about her ability to summon storms/lightning, including in the recent Cathay reveal trailer for their Old Word army, but she doesn’t have any abilities or spells to do with lightning. So I gave her Urannon’s as a bound spell.

- Yuan Bo: +Collision Attacks in Dragon Form. The Cathay Dragons have animation issues that cause them to miss their hits relative to their stats. Attacks help mitigate that issue. Yuan Bo is hurt the hardest by this issue.

2) Heroes:

- Alchemist: I’m gonna be real I think their combat animations on foot are awesome so I’m reworking them to be a hybrid caster/combatant.

- Astromancer: Similar deal as with the Alchemist. Moon Bird Charge Bonus increased to 64 from 46.

- Saytang: +Flaming Attacks. He shoots magical arrows that are bolts of flame. His stone body is also filled with fire and his wings are ablaze. So it makes little sense for him to not have flaming attacks. +25 Base MS. +75 AP MS. Was overnerfed far as Campaign play is concerned. Bringing him back to his former glory. Wind Bow +25 Base MS. +50 AP MS. +20 Base Expl. MS. +10 AP Expl. MS.

3) Units:

- Jade Warriors: +2 MA.

- Nan-Gau Grenadiers: +10 Models to the standard of 90. +10 Armor. +4 MD.

- Great Longma Riders: +200 mass to 1500. +480 HP to 6744.

- Jade Lion: +5 Base WS. +15 AP WS. +20 Charge Bonus. +Flaming Attacks. +500 Mass to 2500.

- Jet Lions: +500 HP to 6308. +Magic Attacks.

- Celestial Lion: +20 Charge Bonus to 85.

- Terracotta Sentinel: +Collision Attacks.

- Sky-Junk Bomb: Blast Radius increased +2m to 8m. +Dazed on contact.

- Moon Bird: Charge Bonus increased to 64 from 46.

4) Abilities:

- Yang Harmony: Now provides +10% Charge Bonus.

- Will of the Dragons: +5 MA. Puts it in line with Hold the Line.

- Power of Yin: +45m AOE to 100m. The effect isn’t strong enough for just a 55m range, compared to the mapwide passives.

- Strength of Yang: +45m AOE to 100m. The effect isn’t strong enough for just a 55m range, compared to the mapwide passives.

- Master of the Stone Legions: +10 to Armor.

- Giant Leap: Damage was underwhelming. Either needed more damage or a shorter cooldown so naturally I gave it more damage. Now deals 48 dps (100% AP) from 35 (71% AP). +3m Radius to 15m.

5) Items:

- Shield of Nan-Gau: Increased the effects to be worth an item that requires the Lord to stay still. New effects are: +15 Missile Block and +10 Armor for Phase 1, +30 Missile Block and +20 Armor for Phase 2, +55 Missile Block and +30 Armor for Phase 3.

- Alchemist’s Elixir of Iron Skin: Instead of +90 Armor now provides +30 Armor and +35% Physical Resistance. That way it’s more useful against both Base and AP Damage.

- Alchemist’s Elixir of Puissance: Instead of +40 MA now provides +24 MA and +25% Base/AP WS. Most of Cathay’s damage dealers in melee either already have high MA like the Sentinel, or they’re a shock unit like Longma Riders that use their charge bonus. Either way keeping the +24 MA will still buff hit chance but now the Base/AP WS buff will make the item provide a better overall improvement to melee damage.

- Alchemist’s Elixir of Venom: Now +Magic Attacks. Only providing poison was a lackluster buff.

- Celestial Silk Robe: +8% Spell Resistance is quite underwhelming. I’ve increased it to 15%. That plus the existing Melee Defense buff should be more useful.

- Horns of Shang-Yang: Zhao Ming’s Unique Item’s effects are a bit underwhelming. To incentivize their use I’ve increased the armor bonus from +10 to +20.

- Iron Bulwark: Zhao Ming’s Set Bonus for having his two unique items was too weak. To incentivize using both the items instead of swapping out to another I’ve increased the AP WS buff he gets from +20 to +60.

- Storm Wind Coronal: Miao Ying’s Unique Item’s effects are a bit underwhelming. To incentivize their use I’ve increased the armor bonus from +12 to +20.

- Favored Gifts: Miao Ying’s Set Bonus for having her two unique items was too weak. To incentivize using both the items instead of swapping out to another I’ve increased the Ward Save buff from 5% to 10%.

- Celestial Adornments: Yuan Bo’s Set Bonus for having his two items is a bit too weak. To incentivize using both the items instead of swapping out to another I’ve increased the cooldown reduction of Dragon’s Fang to -25% from -10%.

6) Spells:

- Constellation of the Dragon: Regular and Overcast now does 100% AP damage. Spell now does Fire Damage.

- Blossom Wind: Damage is underwhelming. Spell now does 22 dps for regular cast and 32 for overcast.

- Missile Mirror: Duration too short to be substantial. Regular cast increased to 24 seconds. Overcast increased to 48 seconds.
