Introduction to R&D History：
The Diesel-Electric Transmission Type 1 Locomotive (cord: ND1), designed and manufactured by the MÁVAG factory of the Socialist People's Republic of Hungary, was a 'DVM2-2K'-type diesel locomotive. This locomotive began to be imported into socialist China in 1956, with a total of 14 units, and provided certain technical inspiration for China's diesel locomotive design and manufacturing. Later, it became the primary learning model for the 'Construction'-type diesel locomotive completed in 1958, thereby successfully enabling socialist China to develop its first independently designed and manufactured diesel locomotive. This achievement marked the beginning of New China's railway diesel locomotive design and manufacturing industry.
