What is Wildlife Madness?

Wildlife Madness is a port of Wildlife enemies known from Black Reliquary as a group of monsters roaming the dungeons.

What is in this mod?

Wildlife Madness offers you an option to try your best against 6 unique monsters:
  • Carrion Hive
  • Horned Toad
  • Oblivion Buzzer
  • Scout Buzzer
  • Skeleton Summon (mostly as an enemy summoned by toad but he can appear in ruins)

Now, weirdly enough, I cannot get any enemies from this mod to spawn despite doing a bunch of quests in the weald and warrens. I placed it at the very top of my load order which is what makes it so weird that I haven't ran into a single one of these enemies.

Oh cool

@neIVIesis well the screenshots were made before i changed where they appear but:

- everything spawns in weald and courtyard
- toad can appear in warrens and if you have here be monsters then it can appear together with frogs
- in terms of ruins theres a single enemy thats not really a beast but a skeleton (the one that toad spits out)

I think these animal pack makes sense for the weald, where other beasts are found, not so much in ruins or elsewhere. But thanks for the port. I can always alter mashes myself.

When I get home from work I'll try to seek one out with a starter party, shouldn't be too hard. But having it's HP down to not mini-boss levels of HP, it should be far more manageable for parties to deal with it having basically 49 effective HP versus the 88 effective HP it had before when it was sitting at 70 HP when adventuring around and running into it multiple times.

@Mmaster116 alright lets see how they play out with the size 2 brigand hp (they still have their prot tho)

I have a problem with the mod. I turned it on yesterday and put it above other mods that add new enemies, and I haven't run into any enemies from this mod even once. I tried different dungeons and difficulties, but it's like this mod doesn't even work. Is it not compatible with other monster mods or what, because it can't be bad luck.

The Lost Legion is actually one of the ones I kept in my list by you because I wasn't getting sick of them ruining my parties, Lost Legion feel threatening enough if you leave certain units unchecked just like in vanilla, they thematically fit, and do not have over abundant amounts of HP, prot, and the likes. The animal enemies are definitely a bit overtuned for where they can appear and what difficulty, I don't think enemies should have more HP than can only appear in veteran dungeons, if it were like a 3% chance to see them like it is the Collector, I'd understand it more; but alas they are common enemies that have more HP than veteran level units.

Yea but you also have to consider the fact that they do "more" dmg etc due to most stats being doubled hp/dmg/speed/dots etc. tho i get your point too, I might think about some changes but for sure i don't want them to suddently become weak (for example lost legion after figuring out stats/doing half of what br had, were kinda weak-ish which made me buff their hp and speed just a little bit)

I'll be honest, that's your first mistake, Black Reliquary for all intents and purposes, is a terribly balanced for vanilla without the prep round, and the fact that heroes do WAY more damage in BR than they do in vanilla. They're apprentice level enemies in BR because you have ways of dealing with them in that area, whereas here you don't get the luxury of a prep round to buff yourself up, it's damage right out the gate.

Ideally, enemies like the toad, get forced into being a region specific enemy on veteran and above, because that's what their stats reflect without things like the prep round. It's not until you get enough green trinkets that are actually useful for your heroes to not actually struggle to kill some of these enemies while they output high amounts of stress and/or damage on your party.
