Description
McCowan Yard was a subway yard located in Toronto Ontario, Canada and operated by the Toronto Transit Commission. The yard opened in 1985 and was used to store and maintain the trains used on the Scarborough RT Line (Line 3). It could only preform light maintenance and cleaning services on the trains. Trains on Line 3 would need to be transported to Greenwood Yard for heavy maintenance. The yard ceased operations on July 24, 2023 with the permanent closure of the Scarborough RT Line. The building and yard will be torn down at some point in the future as there is no longer a need for it.
