The Last Of Us - Escape The Dark

The Last of Us: Escape the Dark is a new board game of atmospheric adventure set in the world of the critically acclaimed Naughty Dog franchise.

Powered by the latest evolution of the Escape the Dark system, The Last of Us: Escape the Dark offers solo and co-op multiplayer modes, allowing up to 5 players to experience this iconic setting in a brand-new way.

Playing as a group of survivors, you will weave your own unique story of survival and companionship as you explore an open-world map. Beginning your journey in a forsaken quarantine zone, your goal is to travel to the reputed safe haven of Jackson while keeping everyone in the group alive.

Carefully plot your route through the troubled landscape, resolving immersive Chapter Cards at each location to gain vital information, weapons, and equipment. Survival will depend on making difficult choices and tactical use of item cards and custom character dice to overcome a variety of threats including Hunters, FEDRA agents, and the dreaded Infected.

Endure and survive!


The mod includes a scripted setup based on the number of seated players (1-5). Follow the instructions broadcast into the chat during setup.

If playing a single player game take a seat run setup stages 1 and 2, after selecting a character move seat and select a second character, you can now click finish.

If playing a hotseat game, seat the number of players being used and run setup stages 1 & 2. When selecting a character pass the turn to each player and select a character for each player until you're back to the starting player. You can now click finish.


There is a couple of buttons in the top left corner of the table that switch between the standard colour lighting and a 'immersive' black and white mode that matches the escape the dark visual style. The black and white version also starts the in-built music player with a 1 hour long Last Of Us OST track for some in universe background noise. Should you wish to play in colour with the track, just open the player and click play, it should be loaded on launching the mod.


I made this mod as a training / learning exercise in how to use tabletop sims tools and get a basic understanding of how to script. As my knowledge is limited feel free to take the mod and make variations / improvements.
